You stopped watching because the Celtics continue to be one of the worst managed teams in the NBA. But it is understandable since you are just a front running fan (Sorry about the Dead Wings reference).

And what "sissy rules" are you referring to?

A. The 8 second rule to cross half-court?

B. Legalizing the illegal zone defense that was rampant ?

C. No more one-on-one, back your man down B.S.?

D. Prohibiting the hand checks that slowed down players?

Funny, but the pre-sissified years of Bird/Johnson has HIGHER scoring games than we have today. The real reasons that the scores are down is that the team concept of playing ball has been removed in favor for ESPN moments on SportsCenter.

Your Celtics are HORRIBLE to watch because all they have is Paul Pierce and his cast of no names. Your Coach up and quits, Aurebach is a drunk, and (M)Ainge knows nothing about assembling a team.

The REAL reason you stopped watching the Celtics is because they stink!

But I'll continue to keep ya posted on the Lakers return to greatness.........

Umm, yeah, that's it. You must be right. After all the NBA is on an all-time high in ratings and dollars. It must only be me. Even Michael Jordan coming back from the dead couldn't save the NBA at this point.

BTW - Fix your sig, horribe is not a word

As Kobe said tonight in the post game interview;

"It's time to dance, baby!"

Time for the two court shuffle - dancin' in LA and then out to Colorado.

So, how 'bout those Timberpups?

California Injun 03-03-2004 11:22 PM

With the Lakers on this 2nd half play-off run (8-2) and 3 of 4 on this nasty roadie that included punking the Nets and Rockets, it is time to give this thread justice.

We'll no doubt inch up to that #3 spot, wipe out our first round opponent and then bi-atch slap those Euro Farmers from Cowtown in the 2nd round.

Of course the resident pot-smoking felon will perjuror himself in the 4th quarter of these tight play-off games and/or tweak his post season ankle when the team desperately needs him.

Such is the life of a bridesmaid.............

BTW: The over/under for the TCubs is losing the first round in 7 games.

Lakers in the playoffs are gonna be tough. Got to love the fact that they keepit under the salary cap.

The Lakers could lose in round 1 this year. The Kings, Wolves, Spurs, and Mavs are all better than LA. It all depends who they draw. They might get past San Antonio, but that's all IMO...

The Kings maybe, the Spurs are a draw, the TWolves cannot compete in the playoffs with the Lakers and as to Dallas get real they cannot beat anyone in the playoffs.

Let's break this down per your assessment;

Kings: NEVER beaten the Lakers in post season.

Wolves: NEVER won a play-off series

Mavs: Lakers are 28-4 against them! Defense like the KC Chiefs.

Spurs: Only LEGITIMATE threat to unseat them because of Duncan.

The Kings might get spanked in the FIRST round if they play Houston.

The Lakers, if all the stars are healthy will get Payton/Malone their rings.

Great call. Dallas can't shoot lights out long enough to win anything. Cubs have never won jack. Queens are great all the way around. Vladeflop should insure they never win anything worth winning but are still my biggest worry. Spurs are a bigger wildcard that LA at this point.

Funny, I thought I saw the Kings win at LA a mere week ago with All-Stars Brad Miller and Chris Webber on the sidelines.
