Eh MJ was a better shooter than Magic, but Jordan couldn't hold either Bird or Magic's jockstrap when it comes to passing the ball. They were in a completely other universe, eyes all around their head. Jordan probably wasn't as good of a rebounder as either one of them, but size probably had something to do with that. There's no doubt Jordan was miles ahead of them both in defense, but on offense we'd have a good argument proving Jordan was very far ahead of Bird in terms of offense. Bird was an unbelievable shooter, especially in the clutch, and he could rebound and was the best passing forward who ever lived. I could sit there watching highlights of Bird and Magic passing the ball all day long...

Go Lakers! I hate Sprewell. Madsen shouldn't be in the league. McHale will once again fall to the P&G. Fisher is hitting the shots that Horry didn't last year (I'm glad he is happier in SA at home.) Malone made the best decision of his life!

Madsen was great for th pups against the Queens. He provided massive O boards in short periods. To say he shouldn't be in the league is being a bit rough on maddog. I also have a lot of resoect for Horry he did a lot for this Lakers team. I have always hated Sprewell but he wants it more than anyone on this team right now with the possible exception of Szczerbiak. Yea Malone definaely made a good decision. He has certainly helped this team this year in a big way especially on D.

When Madsen was with the Lakers every pass to him was like a pass out of bounds. What made it worse was that the other team knew it and they didn't have to defend him so he hurt the rest of the O.

Horry did a lot for LA except for the last year. Then he dissed the team that gave him the opps to win rings. Can't respect that.

I think KG wants it the most but is tired.

I have been surprised at Malones ability to hit the jumper more than his D.

I forgot to mention Kobe Kobe Kobe. I sure hope we keep him instead of Phil.

Horry was great for us at the time. He always wanted to go back to Texas but while he was here he was always the iceman. That 3 pointer against the Queens is a Laker classic that will challenge the test of time. It's rated by ESPN as the 3rd greatest clutch shot ever. Fishers was 4th but I actually thought it was better.

Mojo Rising 05-22-2004 12:25 AM

I agree with you about Horry but to miss the shot that leads to the exit of the playoffs and then go to the enemy and then say that he hated the drama of LA. If LA would have wanted to keep him he would have stayed and not made the comments. The cool things is that it is one of those things that if SA would have won he would have been right. But since they lost he's wrong.

BTW, how are you a Laker fan and not a Dodger fan?

I hate the Dodgers. I became a Lakers fan because or Kareem when I was a kid. I was a Bucks fan when he was there with OR. When Kareem moved on and Magic joined the Lake show it was on and I never looked back.

Football / Chiefs - Born there and a fan since I can remember.
Basketball - Well you know the story.
Baseball - Very local here. Giants first and in the NL. A's in the AL because they are the best run team in MLB.

Mojo Rising 05-22-2004 12:43 AM

I was born in Orange Co. and moved around a lot when I was a kid so I gravitated toward everything LA except the Chiefs. That was the only sport I was (and am) really passionate about.

When Gibson hit the HR to beat the A's I was happy. When Fisher hit the shot last week to win the Championship I was happy.

Neither of those match the feeling of when Hall ran back a kick to beat the Donko's in a regular season game last year.

BTW - The NL West must S**k when we can lose 8 in a row and still be in 1st place.

Will do, yes the Giants suck. They are just tryin to live off Bonds. Touch base with you tomorrow.

YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?

IT'S LAKERS TIME!!!! :thumb:

Coogs 05-23-2004 08:06 PM

The Lakers have just trimmed an 18 point T-wolves lead to 12 half-way through the 3rd quarter. If the 'wolves can continue to dominate the way they have for the first two and a half quarters, we might be in for a series. If the Lakers come back and win this one....

it will be over in 4.

Why in the hell can't the NBA get the championship games on network TV? Don't get cable at work.

Did Cassell get back in the game?

WilliamTheIrish 05-23-2004 09:02 PM

Cassell went after 42 seconds, but the TWolves put a 89-71 whacking on the lakers.

1-1
