Hmmmm? What more did he need to do in a 28-2 game?

That's ONE BOY........

No problem with it. He did a good job managing the game. Chiefs defense and running game were excellent and carried Alex.

Not saying Geno didn't do well, he did. But this he did better than ASmith is wrong at this point in the season.

Different factors, situations, and both QBs won their games, which really s all that matters at the end of the day.

Not bad for a second rounder.

His mobility and arm strength can be devastating.

You would hope that a qb in his 8th year or so in the league would do better than a rookie in his first start. Oh and by the way, he didn't. As Clay mentioned Geno did more for his team today than Alex.

Deberg_1990 09-08-2013 02:50 PM

Spot on. Who gives a crap. Clay's just an asshole. He's the guy who hangs out till closing time to scoop up the chicks, or Gordan, the better men didn't want. Then proclaims himself > Alex Smith. He's mental and everyone here feeds his narcissism.

Oh brother...Alex did fine. He wasn't a world beater but neither was Geno. Both QBs helped their team win. In our case, our D was the biggest factor, yes, but Alex did what needed to be done and we ****ing creamed the Jags.

Both QBs won, and both QBs had a hand in the victory.

That's all that matters. The W.

Not really. Its relevant right now.

The Chiefs absolutely destroyed a team they should of destroyed, the defense was everything I said it would be, and Alex Smith played exactly as I said he would.

No turnovers, made the plays when he had to, let the defense and special teams do their things, and threw two tds.

Clay is just ass hurt.

He wasn't a world beater? He completely controlled the line of scrimmage, made all the right reads, right plays, and then the Chiefs cruised in the second half.

Alex Smith was surgical today.

Didn't watch it, but seems like he had a decent day. Don't get why people are still so butthurt over passing on him though? It's not like they passed on Luck or RGIII, and Smith looks like he will be fine.

The important thing is...let's not suck this guy off for beating the Jags. Cassel did that, too.

I gotta give Geno credit, that was an impressive debut.

But I still don't care that he's not here...

21/34 for 173 and 2 tds, 4 carries for 25 yards.

And our coach acknowledged in the post game Presser that that wasn't good enough.

Anyway, it looked as if geno had a good outing. Good for him, he's been thru a lot of shit already

No you don't.

But Alex Smith still has to prove himself here, and 5.1 YPA is exactly what us doubters expect of him.

It was against JAX, too which is probably the worst team this league has seen in a few years.

30 yards for Dwayne Bowe on 4 receps is Cassel-like and this is what gives me serious concern. Our leading receiver had 44 yards.

He wasn't perfect, but he was fine. The chains moved when they needed to. He probably would have had more yards, but the Chiefs played with a short field most of the game.

I know I had to constantly do double takes. I was all, holy shit is that Peyton Manning in Chiefs uniform? :D

By definition he wasn't a world beater. He'd have to have beaten more than one lousy team for that to even make any sense. Do you people ever even ****ing listen to yourselves?

Keep in mind this is the good Alex Smith. Him basically at his best. And yet he still wasn't that impressive against a straight up awful team.

You're an idiot, and likely a liar. I seriously doubt you watched anything but the final minutes. The Bucs were in Geno's face literally all afternoon. The pass rush was fierce. On top of that the secondary included Revis, Goldson, and Mark Barron.

He was wrong, but lets be real about Barron and goldson. They aren't known for their ability to play the pass

If you're really being honest with yourself, that "scramble" was not a good play on Geno's part at all. He gains only a couple yards and burns 8 seconds in the process.

donkhater 09-08-2013 03:31 PM

Geno's comeback was Tebow-like. In that it took a really dumb play from the other team for him to do it.

Maybe because 9 different people caught passes?

Which ignores at least 4 drops that immediately come to mind. One deep on KC's first play of the game.

He still had 7 seconds to get 10 yards without the penalty. Hell of a drive with no timeouts the ball on the 20 and 30 seconds to go just to get into that position.

I would just feel better with one of those guy in the backup QB this year if Alice were to go down. If he's hurt we might as well watch Bray and prepare for 14.those

If Alice misses 2-3 games those are 2 more possible wins with those guys at QB and the QB position looks brighter for the future. Where as a Fisher doesn't provide any more wins this year.

May be true but not one team in the NFL is planning on QB1 getting hurt.

Chiefs fans need to stop. I dont give a **** about QB2, I want my guy to finish it. Everyone else better feel the same.
