If they beat Georgia… and they are already shredding Georgia’s defense worse than anyone else has this season… it will confirm that Alabama is better than they played in those close wins.

The offense is just Young throwing to Williams.

Georgia's best win this year is either an overrated Kentucky team or an offensively challenged Clemson squad.

Saban adjusted his strategy to be more spread/wide open passing oriented while Kirby Smart is still coaching as if it is 1990.

Chiefspants 12-04-2021 05:06 PM

Cinci with the momentum now.

TomBarndtsTwin 12-04-2021 05:09 PM

Georgia still has a really good defense.

Just because Bama and their future #1 NFL picks are moving on them doesn’t discount the season they’ve had up until this point.

They’re 12-0 with a ridiculously low PPG allowed for a reason.

louie aguiar 12-04-2021 05:09 PM

Does this mean we get to see two sec teams in the playoff?

displacedinMN 12-04-2021 05:09 PM

Just when I thought we'd get a college playoff worth watching:(

TomBarndtsTwin 12-04-2021 05:29 PM

Some conclusions we can go ahead and make from today so far:

Okie St. out of playoff contention. Cincy in. Bama and Georgia will both be in.

That leaves one spot up for grabs. Michigan, it’s all yours if you can just take it.

If Michigan loses, likely Notre Lame will get in and get obliterated by either Bama or Georgia. Would be fun to see a Cincy/ND rematch if ND got in, but don’t think the seeding will allow that to happen.

FloridaMan88 12-04-2021 05:29 PM

Go for it if 4th down.

FloridaMan88 12-04-2021 05:33 PM

Saban made a deal with Satan. Or is Satan. Spelling is too close.

Chiefspants 12-04-2021 05:47 PM

Cinci got jobbed on two calls in a row. Should be 42-13 Cinci, instead Houston is gifted a fresh set of downs.

It shouldn't end up mattering, but it's still stupid.

The Dolphins would have been interesting if the GM didn’t screw Saban. Obviously Ricky Williams going full Ricky didn’t help, but Saban wanted Brees and the GM wanted Culpepper. Saban wanted Braylon Edwards in the draft, GM gave him Ronnie Brown(obviously because of Ricky).

Brees going to the Dolphins instead of Saints would have been wild.

MarkDavis'Haircut 12-04-2021 06:03 PM

Georgia never trailed much so they didn't know how to play it.

I said weeks ago that Georgia was getting too hype. Just like all the Alabama hype in 2018. Clemson ended up destroying them.

EPodolak 12-04-2021 06:04 PM

Unless you own stock in red lipstick this game was worthless.

ping2000 12-04-2021 06:04 PM

Why even play college football anymore? What is the point? Just hand them the ****ing trophy and let everyone else play for second place every year.

TomBarndtsTwin 12-04-2021 06:05 PM

Well, that ends the SEC Title game.

Alabama likely ends up #1 now with two Top 10 wins over Georgia and Ole Miss.

If Michigan wins tonight, they’ll stay #2.

Will Georgia drop to #3 or #4 is the only question? Cincy gets the other.

Georgia should be ranked ahead of Michigan. However, it doesn't matter with no home field advantage between #2 and #3.

I ****ing hate saying it but, for the foreseeable future Alabama will never be worse than the third (on rare occasions) or second best team in the country. It doesn’t matter how “bad” they have been in the regular season, once the post season hits they are the most dangerous threat until someone proves them otherwise.

**** them all to hell.

Georgia will go to 3. Sets up a Michigan-Georgia Orange Bowl and an Alabama-Cincinnati Cotton Bowl.

Not sure I agree as Michigan beat Ohio State and did it convincingly. As good as Georgia has looked all season, not sure they have a win as good as that one.

But your point is taken. Whether #2 or #3, doesn’t really matter.

Assuming Alabama moves up to #1, Georgia won’t get moved any lower than #3… if for no other reason than to avoid an immediate Alabama/Georgia rematch in the CFP Semifinals.

Traditional powers in recruiting hotbeds such as USC, Texas, the Big 3 in Florida, etc. need to get their shit together and start to more consistently secure their local recruits.

Bryce Young for example would probably be at USC if Lincoln Riley was there two years ago.
