Geno has one good game against one of the worst defenses in the NFL and is a turnover machine (11 so far) against defenses that are worth a shit.

If we wanted that kind of production, then we should of just kept Cassel for god sakes

Pittsburgh is 0-4, and got picked apart by Matt Cassel last time out. They aren't exactly a juggernaut at this point.

You guys try at all costs to knock the kid down.

Prior to the season, NY was thought of as a team that might get a top 5 pick. Their talent level is terrible and it was widely thought of that Geno went to the worst situation he could have went into.

Even with all of that, he has his team one year out of first place sitting at 3-2, has 3 game winning drives (in only 5 games) and just won AFC player of the week.

FFS I know he is not a Chief, but its ok to say he is playing at a high level.

Dick Lebeau is gonna throw as many advanced looks as possible at the kid to try and get him to make mistakes.

They aren't the Steelers of old, but they are still a defense that has the ability to **** with rookie quarterbacks.

Its more like the Geno lovers saying the chiefs are winning with D (chiefs D ranked 10)and not Alex Smith. But on the other hand Geno is winning these games and not the 5th rank D. Can't have it both ways.

I'm happy with the Chiefs offense.

Shit, I bought season tickets yesterday for the first time in my life...even though I have a long drive to KC. About 5 hours each way.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't rather have drafted our quarterback and lived though the growing pains.

Dick LeBeau is a great DC but they've looked like a bottom 5 team so far this year. They have the 3rd or 4th worst point differential even though they've played one less game than most of the league.

More importantly, they let Matt Cassel pick them apart. That can't be a good sign. He averaged almost 10 yards/attempt and completed his final 11 passes to close out the game two weeks ago. You'd hope they'd come up with some fire after the bye though.

Because the Chiefs having the #1 scoring defense in the league by a field goal has nothing to do with KC winning games.

I hope you post like this when Geno plays like crap vs Pitt.

LMAO That pass defense is crap.

All we had to do was have Schwartz be our RT, and take Geno #1 or even take the worst trade down offer and get him later. Then in two years we'd had our chocolate stud.

First post here to me I don't think this is the year to really judge Geno vs Alex.

Alex Smith is in his first year in a new system. While he is a vet and he should be held to a higher standard then Geno it still takes time for most qbs to get used to a new system. I give you Trent Green. His first year in KC wasn't anything to write home about. He would go on to lead one of the best offenses that KC has ever seen.

Geno Smith is a rookie. While I didn't think we should have drafted him at the time and still don't there's no telling what he will be yet. He wasn't right for this team. Rookies for the most part at QB with some exceptions are turnover machines. Geno has been. That's what the Chiefs had last year at QB. To go from turnover machine to turnover machine just wouldn't make sense with a team that had talent and could compete now. But Geno could still turn out to be a very good QB in the NFL. I myself think he will be a good not great starter. But that remains to be seen

The Chiefs aren't winning with D? :spock:

That 10th ranking is pretty good, for one, but that measure is by yards allowed. We're the #1 scoring D, and THAT'S what matters. We're limiting the other team to minimal points.

That's perfect enough for Alex to lead his 1-2 TD drives per game. Throw in a couple field goals and a defensive/special teams TD and THAT'S how we've been winning games. Because that's good enough to beat teams. Because we're limiting them to points. Because we've got the defense.

We're winning with defense.

There's no difference between a 30-year old overgrown baby reerun like Cassel putting up those numbers and a rookie QB who has only played 5 games.

None whatsoever.

You know, the more people say "DUHR HUHR BETTER HIDE YOUR POST LOGIC ISN'T ALLOWED HERE DERP" the closer I am to building a time machine, going back about 100,000 years, and wiping that dumbass out at the source of it all.
