I'm pretty excited for next season.

This article covers Hos' comments to Andy Green. It blew up on San Diego talk radio, reddit and twitter. Reports about him and Wil Myers (there's a shoutout!) bonding over this have also been floating around (Wil was then popped on a livestream for ****talking Andy after Andy made Wil do more drills after he had 3 errors in one game) It could be simply rumors when it comes to Hos, but when multiple things like this pop up in a season (rumors of the yelling match happened later), eventually stuff like this can be taken with more than a grain of salt.

Especially since we know Hos has had reports like this about him in the past (as dlphg9 posted), and was part of the rallying cry that led to Seitzer's firing after his 2nd year as a player (woof). The reports that he and Moose were regular bullies to Billy Butler (I know there were conflicting reports about that - some say Billy was just as bad in return) and that we specifically shipped away Valencia because he brought out the worst in Hos should have also been a red flag for SD (and for us if we really offered 125 mil).

I will forever love Hos for the player he was with Royals, but he's definitely under more of a microscope now.

I've mentioned it before, but I met Hosmer at a Chiefs game.

I have to believe that anyone that has ever met the guy knew this was coming. He was the most obnoxious bro-douche I've ever met. Like, the kind of guy that says shit like "bro, I'm gonna slay so much poon this weekend..."

Hosmer has always been a chode. But he was YOUR chode so you ignored it. We all do it - but this is nothing new.

He was our swagtastic face of redemption, and had GMDM's love like no other (even ****ing Frenchy).

KC embraced both good and bad Hos for exactly who he was. I think he may have assumed that universal acceptance and praise would follow him wherever he went. If he doesn't turn things around in SD next year, it's going to be interesting to see how he takes it.

Did I say anything about reducing? Although it likely will drop.

Well when we have one of the bottom 3 market sizes, then yes I would consider 19/30 to be pretty damn good.

It would be higher if we hadn't traded several players. Last year we were 13, the year before we were 14. I don't know what you expect...

Not surprising at all. I knew a guy who hung around him and was the same. Hosmer was also friends with Kelce so yeah.

Having a personalities like Salvy and Cain on the team did a lot to mask issues with Moose and Hoz.

On a slightly unrelated note, I hope Cleveland gets demolished in the postseason. They've played pretty average baseball on a yearly basis despite having a supposedly dominant pitching staff and playing in the worst division in the AL. I'd love for their window to close without them having ever won anything of significance.

Ill still pull for them over Boston, NY, LA, and Chi any day.

For nostalgia sake Ill be pulling for the Braves.

The rebuild the braves have done is phenomenal.

I didn't relaize they had been in it as recent as 13. They have also lost 8 straight play in games and playoff series. That Chiefsesque.

Al Bundy 09-25-2018 08:16 PM

Royals win the first game of their final 2 series of the season. Almost on to 2019.

Chiefspants 09-25-2018 08:17 PM

Good to see Matt Harvey again.

O'Hearn, dudes.
