2021 - The Texas Rangers lost 102 games. The Arizona Diamondbacks lost 110 games.

2023 - The Rangers & Diamondbacks will meet in the World Series.

Apparently, there is hope.

The Rangers have spent a lot to get there, while the diamondback developed pitching...both things are apparently impossible for our Royals.

The pitching development is incredible how poor it has been... even during the good years, outside of the bullpen, we didn't develop starting arms. Yordano was about it. If we could somehow start to put out actual big league starters, it would drastically change the trajectory of this morbid franchise.

What are the rules with the ***Official 2024 Royals Season Repository Thread***? Does it start immediately following the World Series? With the Calendar Year?

I'm looking forward to burying the 2023 season which I believe I initially predicted the Royals would finish over .500. So, to not jinx this team again, I'll predict 96 losses for 2024 which I guess is sadly still a drastic improvement.

The only rule is that there are no rules.

Oh and don't root for the BlueJays.

This is the way

RockChalk 10-26-2023 11:01 AM

I understand this thought...but free agency, rule 5 draft roster window, etc. all begin within 1-2 weeks after the World Series ends. Wouldn't a 2024 Season Thread be a good place to discuss ongoings with the team?

Just a thought...
