Fire Me Boy! 10-14-2013 10:21 AM

A little casting news... not super spoiler-ish, but it's a character from the comics.

Spoiler!

And another...

Spoiler!

Alright, WTF is up with this girl Rick found in the woods?

Comic book initial theory, didn't pan out so it could still happen.

Spoiler!

Man I hope Daryl lasts after seeing that link

journeyscarab 10-14-2013 10:33 AM

Is there a way to read the comics online?

I don't see them getting rid of Darryl. He's half the reason people watch the show, and about 90 percent of the reason any women watch. He's *almost* as bulletproof as Rick, IMO.

Spoiler!

They very intentionally made him appear to suffer the symptoms of the virus (as we've seen with others who get bitten a en they're burning hot and then die and turn) prior to him turning. Now they're going to say "Just kidding. He died of the normal flu and then he turned!"

A deadly flu running through the close community of the prison is a nice plot, but I dislike a lame subterfuge.

They kept showing the zombie at the fence with no eyes and then, when the kid died, it looked like blood was running from his eyes. It looks like they are hinting at a coming plague, though it also looks like the fence is coming down first. Probably based on the swine flu since the pigs (wild and domestic) are also dying.

I kept expecting the dead pig to turn into a zombie. LMAO

For free, not legally. I think they are available on Kindle, though, which has a web component.

I agree, but I don't think it was eyeless; something was different, for sure. They showed us that walker two or three times.

Pretty stoked to see what happens...a lot of questions

allen_kcCard 10-14-2013 10:52 AM

It looks like the zombie and the kid were bleeding from their eyes, not eyeless. I am guessing it is a sign of some sort of a plague as well.

How about the fact that the kid shook Daryl's hand at the begining of the episode?

What if Daryl is the one that is infected?

QuikSsurfer 10-14-2013 12:02 PM

I'm assuming the virus has mutated - they made it a point to show the zombie with bleeding eyes a few times... I'm thinking either the deer or the water... I'm leaning towards the deer because of the very deliberate line in the beginning of the episode of the harry potter dude thanking Daryl for the meat... Then the boy starts handling the deer meat with his hands... Zombie salmonella?

Aries Walker 10-14-2013 12:07 PM

I have to think the piles and piles of unburied rotting dead bodies, left to fester in the Georgia sun, have to have something to do with it. Even without a zombie disease, that's an incubation farm for every vile plague there is.

Frosty 10-14-2013 12:11 PM

I don't think it had anything to do with Daryl or the deer meat, unless the pigs dying is a red herring.

Though, now that I think about it, Rick saw the dead deer in the woods followed by the dying wild boar. Are they implying that the boar ate some of the deer? What about the pig in the pen. Would they feed the pigs deer scraps?

The deers eyes were bleeding, too.
