Royals playing very well tonight!
|
Fillmeyer>Brad Keller
You'll see. |
Might have to keep an eye on the Rockies/Phillies game. Rockies pitcher German Marquez has 11+ strikeouts in 4 of his last 5 games... and tonight is having a monster start. Struck out the first 8 batters and has 10 K through 4 innings.

Go Brew Crew (aka Royals North)!

Brewers only half a game back. Cubs were up 6 to 2 in the 8th and almost blew it but just walked of 7 to 6. I'm rooting for the Brew crew - get one more win than those Cubs and avoid the wildcard!

I’m rooting for the Brew Crew too. |
Will be fun to see LoCain and Moose back in the postseason. Since the Dbacks choked and since the Royals were long eliminated, might as well back the Brewers. Or A's. God how awesome would it be for the A's to eliminate the Yankees and then upset of the decade the Red Sox?

It would be heavenly. |

I’m torn on the Brewers. I’m definitely rooting for them, but I don’t want them to win the division if that means the Cards sneak into the last wild card by winning their next series vs the Cubs.

Bauer going down hurt, sure. But for most of the year they had the Klubot, Carrasco, Bauer in CY form, and Clevinger as one of the top 25ish pitchers in baseball. Then you have Lindor killing it, Ramirez putting up an MVP caliber year, a huge bounceback season from Brantley and solid complementary players across the board. How that team isn't a 95+ win squad is beyond me. It isn't even that guys are underperforming - they're not. Individual players on that team are having extraordinary years. They just don't win as many games as they should somehow. They're the anti-Rays. |
