Everybody making the Gannon comparisons, or hoping for Gannon results; I can sympathize. The fact is; I would be ecstatic to have Marty-era Gannon results from this offense, not just from Axl.

Rison, in terms of overall ju-ju was comparable to Bowe, though he got more targets. The other receivers at that time were nothing special either. The line had more experience, but Gannon was a more balanced QB and MUCH more elusive(people have forgotten that aspect of his game)than Axl.
