Also if you read the article it's an estimate of what a downtown stadium will cost over the next 40 years, not just the building costs.

And that's still 100million a year on the low side of Franks number There's zero chance of that cost being real. I don't know how he would even pull that number out of his ass

You know, it was just 38 years ago last Sunday (10/22) that Frank stood in the box at Busch Stadium as the first 2B to bat cleanup in a World Series. And hit a titanic HR to left center field off Joaquin Andujar that, to this day, I’ll never understand how that ball went so far. Left CF in that stadium is where balls went to die. He crushed that ball. Tito Landrum took took 3 steps and just looked up as the ball went deep into the tunnel.

And 38 years ago today, we celebrated the Royals first WS title.

11-0.

I was born a few months prior

Downtown Royals' Park + nu-Arrowhead + whatever site improvements would be made to the Truman complex

He's a try-hard queerbait so I'm glad.

I'd write a bunch of words about this, but instead I'll keep it short:

Jackson County throwing out the 40-year cost of everything to inflate the number is disingenuous and, worse, silly.

It's like Frank White and the county are playing checkers while convinced they're playing chess.

I find it peculiar that the Rangers front office is Chris Young and Dayton Moore.

Nice job, Sherman... he fired GMDM, because he thought he didn't like to use data.

This is the standard Twitter reply with the idiots on the stadium issue.

$6 bil would be the cost of the number 2, 3, and 4 highest priced stadiums in the world combined. Those stadiums are also in places where things cost wayyyyy more. That number is completely full of shit.

Inflation?

The team is saying the estimated cost is $1 billion for the stadium and $1 billion for the entertainment district. They also say they will cover any overages, so I think it's just a hit piece against the stadium.
