With dumbbells I do 40 lbs 10 times, currently. I'm pretty cautious with military press because I had a "coalminers fracture" when I wan in HS & when that scar tissue tears, I can't move my head for about a week.

Wow, you should be able to nearly double that if you work on it!
Just be sure to practice proper technique. Once you get the weight halfway up, use your back to push it the rest of the way up.
Take it slow, and up the weight. I don't think you're genetically screwed. You just need to use more weight.
