Yeah I would agree. I don't see any charges or jail time but that won't stop Goodell. Big Ben got six games then appealed to four. I would expect something similar.

What stories have changed?

Oh, I get it. But if you were to believe all the stories and evidence Donk fans are coming up with, it would sound as if Dumervil were the victim here, adn that even thinking that Dumervil did anything wrong is just madness.

The Denver newspaper and Google Earth for the win!!!

Huh? Anytime you are accused of a crime you lawyer up quick fast in a hurry.
That is in no way indicative of guilt, at least not in America.

You think this is on par with the Big Ben charges?

Thanks, bad choice of words on my part. Accusations. The situation for which Goodell punished Big Ben.

Definitely not as severe, but the guy got suspended for just getting accused.

Yep. Even as we speak the Eye of Sauron-dell turns toward Elvis.

At this point, it really just depends on what other evidence is out there that we haven't heard about. I find it hard to believe that there weren't any other witnesses who saw this, so assuming that's the case, there should be people out there who can verify what happened one way or another.

If there aren't, and his prints aren't on the gun, it gets pleaded down to next to nothing if not dismissed entirely.

No I don't, however it can be seen both ways. Big Ben was obviously in places he should not have been, but if he was recognized the women could have tried to take advantage of his fame, which I would imagine was part of his appeal on suspension. Dumerville did apparently threaten someone, but at the very least was not utiilizing good judgment at all. Goodell's personal opinions and the fact that he doesn't like the league being seen as consisting of "thugs" will be against Dumerville for sure. Maybe 4 games appealled to 2? It seems most everyone acknowledges though that regardless of the legal ramifications, league ones will be enforced, but when and how much is the question?

According to sources close to the situation who are in the know, Dumervil ultimately will be "all right" on the unresolved arrest matter in Miami. The sources seemed confident Dumervil won't miss any of the season.

Agreed. It's a TV cop show thing that people get a lawyer only if they are guilty.
