"That never happened. Kelce was coming off a standout senior season at Cincinnati, but he’d also missed his entire sophomore season for failing a drug test. His character was a red flag, as Newsome demonstrated in a lowlight reel played for Kelce.

“The tape showcases Kelce’s affinity for being a bit extra — pointing in opposing players’ faces, talking trash, roughing them up after the whistle has been blown,” GQ’s Clay Skipper writes. “Again and again, the film shows the college star’s penchant for offsetting downfield catches with yellow flags. According to Kelce, Newsome let about five clips play before throwing the remote on the table, turning to face him, and asking ‘Son, are you a f------ a------?’ ”"

Yup. And there is he is on every play busting his ass in the NFL and is now the best at his position and hasn't drawn a flag since week 2.

Jesus Christ people if Peters shit would stop none of this would be going on, its not stopping it getting WORSE.

I mean I get what you're saying but this notion that Peters is so God awful and just having a terrible year is fallacy.

Define "tackle". Riding a player 12 yards while you dick with the ball or waiting 8 yards down the field for the runner to come to you?

Just going by Pro Football Focus...

I mean at least he's made some plays this season, more than we can say for our 100+ mil. "elite pass rusher"....just saying if we're gonna single guys out.

Advocate? LMAO

I don't care.

But he broke the rules, plain and simple.

I've heard from more than just a few friends and family members that think that Marcus Peters is a "jerk" and an "asshole" but Travis Kelce is "funny, Dude!" and "REALLY talented".

So yes, there is a different perception.

Bottomline is white people love when a brotha that makes a little $$$$ gets punished. Kelce is KC’s version of Gronk so he walks on water in the eyes of these fans. I would wager that 90% of the members of this board would drop to their knees if Kelce walked through their front door. But MP??? He’s from Oakland home of Tupac and the BlackPanther party so screw him. You want to know why MP’s stats have dropped???? Teams don’t even throw to his side it’s the Dion effect. Who would you pick on MP or Steven Nelson??? Trade MP??? Teams would line up. It is easier to replace an All-pro TE than CB on Chief

I would react equally to either one. I am the 10 percent.

A college player smoking pot is the same as getting into it with his coach to the point he gets booted from the team?

Nah I don't think so.

Now if Kelce comes up hot on a drug test in the NFL feel free to call me wrong.

One is a pattern the other is an incident.

Good ****ing god. What the hell does this even mean?

At no point in Travis Kelce's life will he be viewed by anyone as an African American male.

You know exactly what I am saying, you are just being disingenuous.

Kelce is a Snow Bro, its not even debatable. Have you seen that mother****er dance?

Jimkcchief88 12-07-2017 11:15 AM

I think a double-standard between is being pointed out. Both are very talented players with a penchant for throwing a tantrum when things don’t go their way. Obviously one is white and one is black. So why does the black player get suspended for exhibiting the same behavior as the white player??? Kelce got thrown out of a game for throwing a towel AT an official after a bad call. MP throws a flag into the stands and wasn’t ejected, yet is suspended by the team. Fair??? But this phenomenon starts in grade school where young black boys are suspended at higher rates than young white boys. Look it up if you don’t believe me. And it continues into adult/professional lives. Call me a troll if you want, but after you look up the statistics. bTW I grew up in Columbia, went to Mizzou, and have been a Chiefs fan since the football Cardinals left STL on Chief.

Truth. This is bullshit, especially against Oakland.

This oversimplification has been proven false. Please read all 464+ posts and you will understand. Or like some, you will not. That's how it goes here. :)
