But I'm really glad to be apart of the CP community where some semblance of that positive energy will permeate through. Whether in Arrowhead, KC metro, any other state, or any other country for that matter--tomorrow is going to be special for anyone who loves the Chiefs and wears their colors proud. |
LMAO Boston Globe columnist for those who don’t know.

But I am with ya, so is everybody on this site and Chiefs Kingdom. We all, well most of us had Mahomes pegged as an exceptional talent last year. Most of us all knew, just some old fashion NFL games for seasoning and within 2 years we would be where we need to be. **** NEWSFLASH **** Pat wasn't waiting to get seasoned, he has taken this league by surprise and everybody in the NFL is amazed by it. NOBODY, I REPEAT, NOBODY EXPECTED THIS OUT OF HIM! We are all thrilled to have him! The only people who are sad are the other 31 NFL teams and their fans! |

All night Chiefs marathon on NFL Network.
Chiefs/Rams on now, Chiefs at Raiders on next, then Chiefs/Ravens. |
Good time for the Sound guy to take one for the team, lock the doors and play the Hey Hey song part two song
|
I'm rewatching the Chiefs/Pats regular season game:
First half, Al Michaels: "Yeah as Bill Parcells used to say, let's not get the anointing oil out just yet" (about Mahomes) 3 minutes left, after Mahomes just tied it on a 75-yard bomb to Hill: "Even Bill Parcells might get the anointing oil out after that." And then Collinsworth: "What the Patriots want to do here, is score a TD with no time left on the clock, and NEVER give it back to Patrick Mahomes until the playoffs." Heh - the playoffs have arrived. |
Btw if anyone can find a show called NFL Turning Point that I recorded it somehow - they just did a whole segment on the Colts game, and then the Dee Ford strip sack. I may have came in my pants.
I looked for it on youtube but couldn't find it. |

**** Official Chiefs VS Patriots AFC Championship Game Thread ****
I am not nervous or worried about this game at all. We will win and do so pretty comfortably.
|
In now that it is the actual day.

we're not trapped in here with you. you're trapped in here with us.

Haven't been this positive about this team ever. I was so ready to see Brady lose his GOAT anointed title a long long time ago. Tomorrow proves to everyone that he no longer owns it.
After all these years, I'm nervous. Can't help it - even though I think we not only win, but totally dominate. Tomorrow and probably for years to come. After this year all the best players everywhere will want to play with Mahomes. Awesome time to be a Chiefs fan!!!! |

I just realized, in parts of Asia the game is already over. |
i just hope to hell that if the chiefs get a 10-14 point lead that Andy doesn’t try to burn clock and they actually go for the throat. we saw a couple years ago in the super bowl Pats come back and win it after being down big.

Based upon the videos I have watched, I agree with some pundits that he would have been able to play D1 basketball if he concentrated full-time on that sport. Probably lower tier 1 ball and not playing at those basketball factories but impressive nevertheless considering basketball doesn't usually take advantage of his rocket arm. As chief fans must know their is a cool video of him as a youngster winning a basketball game by heaving the ball like a baseball. From my vantage point, Tyreek Hill deserves to be called the best athlete on the Chiefs. Frankly, I'd be surprised if their are many players in the NFL that are better athletes than Hill. Hill is one of the few NFL players with true world class speed so he is the Chief player that scares me the most in this particular game considering he is capable to turning a short catch into a touchdown and also capable of returning a punt for a touchdown. I looked it up and in his brief NFL career, he has already returned 4 punts for touchdowns. And I suspect he is one of those players that has teams changing how they punt. |

Hill was a running back in college and IIRC no one here had super high expectations of him over those other two. But holy crap that first season he retuned a ton of punts/kicks - but even more than that he caught everything that was thrown at him. You could just throw it in his direction, at any speed, and he'd somehow come down with it. He caught a ball in our big comeback against Denver while he was literally being jacked up by the defender. I was like - why was this dude a running back in college? I think one thing fans of any pro sport do is tend to assume a star player would have emerged no matter what situation they were drafted into. But I give a lot of credit to Reid for pushing Hill into the WR role and working so hard with him to figure it out. Who knows - if Hill is drafted by some other team he may not have turned into a top 5 WR and the second most valuable player on a team with the league MVP. |

Btw I'm watching the Rams game now and holy crap - there were a couple bad calls but our defense really did suck. Most of the calls seem legit. Sooooo glad Scandrick is off the field. |

What's the weather like in KC
Out west it was twelve degrees but no accumulation so it was just a cold ****ing night. I hope the cold shivers through Tom Brady blood. I hope his bones are brittle and week when Justin Houston or Jones or Ford layeth the sack on him. |
Well I couldn't sleep after 5....

Some good FB talk and analysis here...so unlike the Ravens chat rooms where it is all about blaming the refs and “if’s” and “but’s” and not about their team.
|
I haven't been this nervous about an NFL championship game in almost 20 years. We gotta start fast. Hope we get Balls To The Wall Andy again.

Did anyone think to pull the fire alarm at the Patriots hotel early this morning?
I mean really, they are such Massholes there are reasons they win at home |

Oh dont worry, the blame game can erupt at any time. |
So who are the special guests the Chiefs have invited today?
Any ideas? There are former Chiefs planned to be in attendance, ranging from Hall of Famers to members of the team from the last AFC title game to some of the most beloved Chiefs in team history. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2019/...t-early-sunday |
