KU played really well tonight. Texas couldn't buy a bucket but a lot of that had to due w/ KU's suffocating defense. Just about every one of Texas' shots were contested and they didn't give Texas a lot of 2nd chances. Ellis had a hell of a game. Just about everyone had a good game in some manner. It's a good time to be gelling. Hopefully this carries over into the post season tournament(s).

So is this team peaking yet or have they peaked already?

Hopefully they're getting hot at the right time. Hopefully.

I'll eat crow on this team. I was pretty sure they were going to be the ones to dump the streak, especially with Perry playing soft early.

Good for them for going owning mother****ers.

Self is God. End. To win THIS big 12, with THIS team. Outright. With a game left? What the ****? That's not possible, but here we sit.

Also, There isn't anyone here who's happier Landon Lucas found some game. I was the biggest Lucas homer for so long because he tried hard and wanted nothing more than to be a Jayhawk. I had all but given up on him, but damn, it's nice to see him schooling bitches and whipping pussy.

Hopefully we can pull this into an NCAA championship and really make my ass eat crow.

That was a beautiful half. Just great to watch every guy step in and ball all over Tejas.

Nice victory lap on the road. This team is peaking at the right time. Their confidence is off the charts.

If tonight wasn't them peaking, I don't know what is.

So the inevitable fall is ahead?

I'm asking because I haven't had time to watch this season.

Follow, yes. Watch more than a little here or a little there?

No.

Thanks!

It is beautiful to watch this team share the basketball.

It sounds silly, but it's impressive to see the way this team reverses the ball around the perimeter. They just share the ball unbelievably well. Seems to be a main staple of Self's KU squads.

Didn't read the game thread but did KCConnection say Perry Ellis was soft again?

Everybody falls but one, so yeah, the odds are that this team will lose in the tournament. Probably about a 90% likelihood of that. Do they have a better chance than anyone else, though? Yes.

18 year old Svi getting his transfer papers ready.

Selden is still lost in the wilderness as he's been for much of conference season, but Mason, Lucas, Graham, Svi, and Ellis (other than that great stretch in conference season last year) are all playing the best basketball of their careers. It's hard to see anybody else legitimately being the overall #1 right now. They may not even have to win the conference tournament to do it.

They are playing well. The most balanced team Self has had entering the tournament. We are playing good defense and have good guard play. Best chance we have had to win a championship since 2008.

I would say since 2011. The 2010 and 2011 teams were arguably the best teams in the country in both those years.

The 2012 team, of course, made the final but UK was always the favorite.
