Stop being a douche.

Or maybe we can't seem to impress him. Hey, you can have your opinion and I'll have mine. Just like with Tarc stringing us along for 7 visits then going to Arizona first trip there. I bet you were surprised by that. I wasn't, because it doesn't take you multiple trips to decide. It didn't take Tarc many, didn't take several of our other guys either (Julian, Selden, Sherron, Arthur etc).

I don't know how many guys we signed who took multiple trips up here. Maybe it's more than I know about. I'd love to get Randle but until he signs, I'll assume he isn't coming.

He may not come here, but the point is that you are making a ton of assumptions based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever.

I don't think there's any reason to over-analyze it... ESPN did get a shot of him on his phone, and even if he did that most of the night, who cares? I guess it would be one thing if he didn't say a word to the former players or anyone else around him, and couldn't tell you anything about the game except who won... but it's not like any of us know what really happened.

I don't know how many visits he's been on, but I wouldn't expect him to be some starry-eyed kid the whole night... hell, I'd rather any potential Jayhawk take it all in stride and not be overwhelmed by the situation. Nothing wrong with acting like you've been there.

Nope. He wore red.

And reports have confirmed he wore blue boxers.

He's definitely coming to Lawrence.

Xavier Henry took a shitload of trips here and waffled a bunch. If he waffles a bunch and comes here, great. If he waffles a bunch and goes to play for Calipari, sucks but it happens. They're in high school. Not all of them are going to be consummate professionals or execute sound, efficient decision making techniques.

Talk about overreacting.

Wiggins will attend WVU game Saturday, March 2.

Josh Selby was a top 1 to 3 recruit. McLemore was anywhere from 15 to 30. I dont stress about recruiting anymore, whatever happens happens and the number next to their name means no more than a team's preseason ranking.

The larger the fanbase, the more people involved that you just wish werent a part of it.

I think your point is more of an over reaction looking for attention than anything of substance....

Drama Queen...

Hardly. I don't care if Julius or X or Shabazz commit to KU at all. KU isn't for everyone. I just don't like the endless waffling. Why would Shabazz even bother coming to KU for a visit when he saw the Mizzou game and immediately cut us after? Does that sound like someone who was legitimately interested?

In sales you want cold or hot prospects. Lukewarm ones nearly always waste your time and don't buy.

It's not something that's ever interested me... and it's one thing to turn a pro draft into a spectacle, but I've never liked the idea of doing it for high school kids.

Hugh Douglas back in the day changed my way of thinking... players sign or they don't, and in the long run you might be happier they never did. No need to stress about it or even give it more than a few minutes of your time.

@phoggg: #kubball MT“@JayJayUSATODAY: Julius Randle's mom Carolyn on KU visit: "Kansas fans were the best. They're the loudest & the best."

Best thing you can do is get you some of these. Your flow seems heavy today.

What does it cost the school or the coach (or you) to have a recruit visit? The cost is insignificant, especially when 5 guys are already committed and make up the number 2 class in the country.

Honestly, Im not even sure Self wants all these top 3 recruits - a significant chunk are more trouble than they are worth. He wants a mature team, not to copy PayPal Cal's revolving door.

I used to follow KU recruiting and just got tired of hearing the same ole BS from all the recruits about how KU is so great and then choosing Minnesota or some such bullshit. Just gave up on it because the "experts" like Shay, or the guys at Phog know about as much about where a kid will end up as I do.

And even if kid X chooses KU, God only knows what type of player he's going to end up being. So, I just wait until the kid commits and see where he is as a freshman to really comment on where they are going to fit.
