There aren't all that many people that could have done it anyway, and I think the blood spot was a hand print that he could tell was a hell of a lot smaller than his own hand, which means a woman or a kid. Put together the idea of a woman doing it, and how Carol has been hard ass on keeping people alive, and it isn't a huge leap to try to see if she might have done it.

Yeah, Rick put the pieces together from his knowledge about her emphasis on group survival (Carl told him about her secretly teaching the kids about weapons a few episodes ago), the smaller handprint, and her recent strange behavior.

I actually mentioned that to my wife during that scene when said, "Well, Tyrese is dead." I think it did. Although...

Spoiler!

... but I doubt it.

I’m guessing in the season finale he’ll reappear as a cliff hanger for the next season.

My bet's on mid-season finale.

Ok... So Let me get this straight here.
A deputy Sheriff from a shitty little town in Georgia looks at a murder scene for a few minutes, sees a blood spot and instantly knows who's to blame.
He's a redneck Columbo I guess.

hahahaha!
reminded me of this Seinfeld opening monologue on The Trip Part 2.

There are many different job in the police. It seems to me, that the chalk outline guy is one of the better jobs that you can get. You know it's not dangerous, the criminals are long gone, that seems like a good one. I don't know who they are, I guess they're people who wanted to be a sketch artists, but they couldn't draw too well..."listen Johnson, forget the sketches. Do you think if we left a dead body right there on the sidewalk, you could manage to trace around it? Could you do that?". I don't even know how it helps to solve the crime? You know, they look at the thing on the ground..."aah his arm was like that when he hit the pavement. That means the killer must've been Jim."

I don't think they can let that character sit that long. Michonne has been out looking for him, so they haven't totally dismissed the character yet.

AMC renews The Walking Dead for a fifth season

Quote:

AMC announced today that it has renewed The Walking Dead for a fifth season. The number one show on television among adults 18-49, The Walking Dead returned for a fourth season earlier this month and the premiere episode set a new record for the series, delivering 20.2 million viewers, live+3, and 13.2 million adults 18-49, a new record for any non-sports cable telecast.

“We are very happy to make what has to be one of the most anti-climactic renewal announcements ever: The Walking Dead is renewed for a fifth season,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “This is a show that has erased traditional distinctions between cable and broadcast. Its expanding base of passionate fans has grown every season, most recently — and most notably — with the season four premiere earlier this month, which broke viewership records for the series and became the biggest non-sports telecast in cable history. On behalf of the incredible team on both sides of the camera, thank you to the fans and here’s to more Dead.”

For Season 5, Scott Gimple will return as the series’ showrunner along with executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse. AMC also recently announced that it is developing a companion series to The Walking Dead, based on a new story and new characters from Robert Kirkman.

I don't know if this last episode was sponsored by Dodge or something but going out in a muscle car is kind of dumb. I wouldn't ever venture out without 4wd or, at least, AWD. You never know when you might have to go off-road to get around an obstruction on the road or when you might get stuck on a pile of zombies.

Agreed, something about that actor has always bugged me. Maybe it is all the roles he gets..

Though I wonder if he wanted out of the prison for a particular reason.
