Honestly, I like all of those white wide receivers in the draft. Renfrow, not so much.

I'm intrigued by Ladd. And if we don't take him and he turns into another Kupp or Theilan then that would be hugely annoying. But if we take him and he flops whilst Franklin, Worthy, Leggett etc flourish then that would be a killer. It's a tough call to make. I just fear that he's mainly a slot guy and I think we need outside guys more.

Stop posting these pointless tweets from who knows who.

"Rock Hard" is an odd way to characterize a willingness to take a flyer on a guy as a possible WR3/4.

We're looking mostly at the Richie James level of veteran contracts for the majority of remaining options. If that's all Renfrow would cost, it's not a bad gamble.

I wouldn't give any real money for him.

It's Antonio Brown posting through his podcast channel.

And here's the thing "He got the Fields thing right" because he shotguns every idea imaginable. Guy claims he was right on Fields when the day prior he said that Fields wasn't going to be traded and in fact Pittsburgh was likely to trade for the Caleb Williams pick.

Dude doesn't know a damn thing. He's just throwing shit at the wall.

I don't like the fit for Renfrow simply bc he can only play in the slot at a high level and that's just not our offense, keeping a singular player in the same alignment over and over.

It's the same reason why Boyd doesn't make sense either, IMO. We know Rashee is the primary slot guy and Brown will see time there too.

I had just posted this but deleted it because I'm old and it didn't link properly.

Antonio Brown posts about wanting and/or receiving head 25+ times per day.

His account is hilarious, but he's absolutely braindead and shouldn't be relied on as a source of good information.

AussieChiefsFan 03-18-2024 08:33 AM

Surprised Renfrow hasn't been picked up on the cheap by anyone. Could be a rotational slot guy and a veteran presence.

I agree and I think this is the case for most of these tweets that we keep getting spammed with.

I'm guessing it's because his compensation demand would be a "prove it" level. Surely you remember how valuable a good slot receiver was for moving the chains during the Patriots dynasty (Edelman, Welker, Amendola), especially as Kelce hits the twilight of his career. Can he shake off his concussions? I don't know, but it hasn't stopped Chiefs fans from wanting Sneed back. His other injuries were a broken wrist and Grade 2 abdominal strain, nothing that would be detrimental to speed and quickness. He's certainly more accomplished than Richie James, and maybe a little cheaper.

Is he washed? I certainly don't know...maybe? But languishing on the Raiders bench is a bad way to determine that. Choices are few, cap room is even less.

I’ve heard/seen nothing about the Chiefs looking at LT options.

I can’t believe they’re that confident with Wanya. I also can’t believe they’d just wait and see in the draft.

Think maybe they have something worked out with Donovan Smith to come back if he doesn’t get big money somewhere else?

It's a little crazy and yet not as bad as last year when we only had Jawaan Taylor and Lucas Niang entering the draft.

I'd say you're barking up the right tree. Unless they actually think Wanya is close, it'll be a draft-first approach and patch it up after the fact if 2023 repeats itself (i.e. unable to take a LT early).

I don't see any team guaranteeing Donovan a bunch of money or assuring him a starting job soon, so no rush on his end of things either.

I assume that Donovan Smith will approach the Chiefs as soon as he receives an offer from someone else and see if Veach will offer more.

That’s probably why the Chiefs are in no rush.

Can’t say I’d be able to stay patient with a question at LT though.

I was guessing they had an agreement in place with Donovan (maybe some other vet), but were waiting on Sneed resolution to determine final incentives. I could be completely wrong, but I can't see them putting Morris in there this year. That's the luxury of being a modern Chiefs fan, these things just work themselves out..."we, uh, we fixed the glitch"
