Agreed, something about that actor has always bugged me. Maybe it is all the roles he gets..

Though I wonder if he wanted out of the prison for a particular reason.

I would want out, just because I would be less likely to get the "flu".

I've kinda been drifting away from this show for a while.

Just watched the first 3 episodes of this season last night (on demand), and I'm kinda getting hooked back in. Pretty good start, IMO.

The writing has been much better this season with the new showrunner, perhaps better than at any point in the show's history. Hope it keeps up.

Very good episode. My prediction...

Spoiler!

Anyone catch the signs at the gas station?

Aries Walker 11-03-2013 09:37 PM

That's not a bad prediction. And no - what did they say?

I thought this episode was a little dull. There was a lot of stopping and talking and GET ON WITH IT, I thought.

The gas price sign used numbers to spell hell, 4 e 77 upside down, and there was a sign in the gas station, when they first went in, that said "Go Home Now".

Not sure if they mean anything but they caught my eye.

Sure-Oz 11-03-2013 09:42 PM

Yeah...the price sign was clear. As for the prediction I was thinking maybe but could be that the person is gone or possibly in a spinoff?

Spinoff maybe, but normally when a character is killed off they are on The Talking Dead set. All we got was a taped interview with the actress who plays Carol.

That was the best episode in a loooooong time.

AMC announced today that it has renewed The Walking Dead for a fifth season. The number one show on television among adults 18-49, The Walking Dead returned for a fourth season earlier this month and the premiere episode set a new record for the series, delivering 20.2 million viewers, live+3, and 13.2 million adults 18-49, a new record for any non-sports cable telecast.

“We are very happy to make what has to be one of the most anti-climactic renewal announcements ever: The Walking Dead is renewed for a fifth season,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “This is a show that has erased traditional distinctions between cable and broadcast. Its expanding base of passionate fans has grown every season, most recently — and most notably — with the season four premiere earlier this month, which broke viewership records for the series and became the biggest non-sports telecast in cable history. On behalf of the incredible team on both sides of the camera, thank you to the fans and here’s to more Dead.”[/QUOTE]

For Season 5, Scott Gimple will return as the series’ showrunner along with executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse. AMC also recently announced that it is developing a companion series to The Walking Dead, based on a new story and new characters from Robert Kirkman.

:hmmm:

A spinoff featuring Carol?

raybec 4 11-04-2013 08:04 AM

I thought it was a dick move on Rick's part. She was starting to spin out but he should have let the council decide.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Carol has proven to be a capable group member who wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty or make hard choices. At the early onset of that flu no one had a clue that the infected ones might be able to be cured. Carol's actions have all been motivated by her desire to protect the group. I would have probably done the same thing myself. (Destroying and burning the changed ones)

At the same time she is making these tough decisions she sees Rick has insulated himself in his gardening and is shirking his duties as a strong leader; letting others do the necessary "fence killing", not getting the water pump hose unclogged at the time it needed to be, and just kind of being in a fog.

A surprise ending for that episode to say the least.

Fire Me Boy! 11-04-2013 09:32 AM

I predict we see a major character die in the next couple episodes...

Spoiler!
