OU really collapsed. They've been real shaky as of late. Some think it's fatigue, some think they've been figured out, some think it's just part of the phases teams go through during the long conference season. I think they've just been in a funk and it's just part of what teams go through. A real concern is they don't defend well if they're not hitting their shots. Odd for a veteran team. Still a threat to go far in the dance of course with Hield. From watching him the last month he looks tired and he's still playing well, IMO. The scouting report though on Hield is to make him put it on the floor and go left (weakness is ball handling), or just drive period. Chase him off the 3pt line. He's still gonna get his but it's gonna be interesting to see how teams in the dance approach him regarding that.

Good post.
I think it should be repeated ad neaseum that Hudy is an outstanding SaC coach. Really outstanding. I know we run a deeper rotation than they do, but she is really a big part of our success IMO.
As far as OU I agree they look tired or dinged up. Spangler hasn't been himself for awhile. They look out of sorts. Hield and Woodard look out of sync. They used to know where each other we're all the time. And now it seems like they have to find each other.
As far as defending them in the tournament. That's tough. Big 12 opponents have seen him at least 8 times, except UT and ISU. Seeing him for the first time ever would be tough to get a specific gameplan installed. It would be really tough to have a scout team guy give someone a good look at Hield.
If it were me, I'd cover out on Hield and Woodard and never ever rotate off those two guys. If they beat you off the bounce, fine. But don't get yourself in a close out position. Or just sell out and go triangle and 2 and rotate guys to be as physical as possible.
They'll probably go down to some shit valley team that just beats the shit out of them and they're fresh because 60% of their games are a joke.
