Sanchez does not have a better arm. In fact, that's one of the slight criticisms about him by the draft guru's - that his arm strength isn't great. Good, and I think it's more than adequate, but it's not any better than Cassel's and looks to be a little less.
His footwork in the pocket is horrible. He has happy feet and dances like he's standing on a hot plate. I think that's correctible, but I see it as a potential problem/red flag.
And Sanchez had the best defense in all of college - by a considerable margin to fall back on, and I don't think that anyone is going to say that USC's offense in D1 wasn't at least moderately comparable to what Cassel had up in NE in the NFL.
