I hope Eric Berry plays a role in bringing Peyton in...being Tennessee alumn and all.

The stuff he said about the Manning situation the other day was exciting.

It's too bad Berry isn't the only player for Tennessee in the league then I'd agree with that argument.

Boss, I don't remember what you said about Clark a few months ago. Enlighten me.

I think one condition with Peyton is that Wayne comes with him.

That might lend to the Dolphins. Wayne is a Miami guy.

Can't remember which game but it was when Cassel was still playing when I said something like...Clark should walk right into Piolis office and say "get my team a quarterback" and then walk out. No conversation necessary.

I wonder if something like that really happened.

Internally, Jets have mixed feelings about Manning pursuit

Posted by Evan Silva on March 6, 2012, 10:56 PM EST

AP
The Jets will “definitely” consider pursuing quarterback Peyton Manning after he’s released by the Colts, but a Tuesday night New York Daily News story strongly suggests that mixed internal feelings about the potential alienation of Mark Sanchez might prevent the team from going all-in.

And based on the state of Rex Ryan’s 2011 locker room, it’s reasonable to think Manning would only consider joining brother Eli in the Big Apple if Jets went above and beyond to woo him.

“Why would Manning want to come to the circus?” one team source asked Daily News reporter Manish Mehta.

“Can you imagine if word gets out that we’re trying to get Peyton Manning, and then we don’t get Peyton Manning?” added one member of the Jets’ organization. “Then we have to play with Sanchez?”

Confidence already seems to be an issue for the Jets’ incumbent quarterback. A fruitless pursuit of Manning could rattle the young quarterback to the core.

There are members of the Jets who are much more sure acquiring Manning is the right idea, of course. They’ve been saying it for months.

“I want him in New York,” one player told Mehta on Tuesday. “He needs to be a Jet.”

So, Santonio is likely saying he wants them to come to the Jets.

Maybe. Hopefully.

I bet the Chiefs sign their first free agent after Manning signs with another team.

How many more relevant Tennessee players are there in the league?

Relevant is subjective I guess. Dan Williams was a first round pick the same year as Berry. Denarious Moore?

Trying as hard as i can to remove my bias... how the **** could any ONE of those teams offer him a quicker route to the playoffs, in his final years... seriously?

If he actually chooses to go to one of those teams, then he must be so shallow & greedy that i wouldnt want him here anyway & just hope for Stanzi to blow up, or for Orton to become a castabout success story like Dawson.

But if he wants another shot at the belt, he'd come to KC, absolutely no question about it.

The only reason he WOULDNT, as far as i can see, is if Piolis rep for being a great guy to work for is even worse than we know.

Arian Foster is from Tennessee.
