So go ahead and keep ****ing that chicken, hootie.

dude if that Eli thread wasn't locked I'd love to bump it right now

I AIM'd you before he won the Super Bowl that year...before they went on that run...and was like, "you know who has impressed me this year?! Eli Manning."

and then you chastised me and told me how terrible he was and how stupid I was

I don't think you know what you're watching.

Deceiving thread title considering Alex Smith is 20-6-1 and has played well in the playoffs.

Not really the definition of "suck".

Hammock Parties 03-02-2013 10:09 PM

Trent Green threw 188 passes in the 11-30 yard range in 2003.

Alex Smith threw 102 passes in the 11-30 yard range in 2011.

Go ahead and tell me Alex can run that offense! Let's not even go over the fact that 49ers fans tell us Alex refuses to throw the ball into tight windows down the field.

Alex Smith under no circumstances will be as good as Trent Green here.

How many playoff games did Trent Green win in KC?

I seem to remember Alex Smith winning more in SF. LMAO

Trent Green would have won 6 Super Bowls if he had the #2 defense, dumbass.

Hootie 03-02-2013 10:12 PM

Trent Green never threw into tight windows, either! LMAO

that was my biggest complaint the Huard/Green year...

my entire premise was...

"Huard is the shitty QB that forces the ball to Gonzalez and Bowe when they are covered and that is why he needs to play because Green won't do it and just takes constant sacks..."

literally

that was my argument for Huard...that he let our playmakers make plays and Green wouldn't throw into those windows because he was too smart/too used to the Vermeil offense where he always had an open guy

lololol

I keep hearing the words "would have" and "should have" instead of "playoff win" and it makes me laugh.

Trent wasn't that great of a QB. He was hidden behind the best OL I've ever seen and a strong running game.

I'm willing to see if Reid can surround Alex Smith with necessary tools to succeed here, because he's played well in the playoffs before and there's no reason to believe he can't again.

RunKC 03-02-2013 10:22 PM

This is just hilarious. Alex Smith has 6 TD's to 0 INT's in his 2 playoff games and he sucks?

JFC people the guy only had 1 year with a decent OC before Harbaugh showed up.

Reid thinks he has even more potential. Let's wait and see.

He did it all the time you ****ing dumbass.

In fact he got into trouble over forcing the ball sometimes.

Don't make me post ****ing GIFs.

Alex Smith is a goddamn checkdown king and you think he can run Vermeil's offense. LOL at you.

cdcox 03-02-2013 10:26 PM

Smith are Green are not the same QB. Green's passes in the 20 yard range are fast and flat compared to Smith's. Highlights don't tell everything, but clearly Green has more of downfield game than Smith. It's not clear at all that Smith could have ran the Saunders offense as well as Green.

sure

post .gifs of the Green/Huard year...you're going to find a whole lot more Huard fitting the ball into windows than Trent Green.

Hammock Parties 03-02-2013 10:36 PM

Alex Smith basically never, ever makes throws like this. He wouldn't even attempt this.

Herm Edwards first statement about the offense was that he wasn't comfortable with the risks Green took in the passing game. Not to mention Green really never came back from his decapatation. So ignore 2006. Go back to 2002 through 2005. Watch the highlights I posted. Green hit plenty of windows.

Hammock Parties 03-02-2013 10:40 PM

Alex Smith does this all the time!
