That illegal equipment call really changed the game

never have seen that called before but I'm not complaining

WilliamTheIrish 11-16-2013 06:31 PM

Also, WTF was going through OBz' skull during the last minute of the first half? Wasting 30+seconds to call a QB draw?

If I was #LIFE, I would have given OBz the middle finger. He completely ****ed that drive.

That was hilarious. I can't believe that happened.

I'm not sure how that would even happen. As a coach, you would HAVE to have safety's in place to ensure that two guys with the same number don't play on the same coverage unit.

My thinking is that it was something TCU has done before, and we caught it when scouting them. Bill probably told the refs to watch for it during the pregame talk.

We waited for it to happen, Bill's all like "see?" Then they call it.

But why? Want them on the same unit, give them a different jersey.

If that wasn't the game of the week I don't want to see what would be. I don't think my poor heart could take a game better than that.

I kind of doubt it. Just a strange (very, very lucky) occurrence.

Trujillo,

CLANK, CLANK, CLANK. Been a long while since I've seen a CAT TE drop a wide open pass. And two of those drops could have TD's. Seemed pretty crazy they went back to him over and over.

I noticed the same thing during the game. He had three very crucial drops.

The F? Terrible? Really? I don't think you really are assessing the D properly. Terrible doesn't hold Baylor to 35 points. Marginal? Yes. They are unspectacular for sure, but not even close to terrible. Check yourself.

So we are hanging our hat on holding Baylor to 35? The D had very little to do with that. Did you watch the game? KSU possessed the ball for 39 minutes in the game.

Baylor scored 35 points in 20 minutes of possession. That terrible D gave up TD's of 92, 70, and 50 yards, plus two other pass plays of 50 yards. They were horrible that game.

And go look up TCU's offensive rank. They didnt suddenly become some offensive power. When is the last time you saw TCU score 30? How about 30 on the road?
This D sucks. I'm not downplaying the win, but let's call this what it is.

The defense is pretty bad, but i've seen improvement over the the past few weeks.

Yeah they gave up 30 to TCU - but 2 of those scores were caused by short fields (Waters INT and Sams Fumble)

They don't count like that, Saul. If youngive it up, you youngive it up. They gave up a 50 yard TD right after taking the lead on TTT's 79 yard broken coverage.
They are a terrible defensive unit. It just so happens we've entered a very soft part of the schedule these last three weeks.
