Diallo looked like an instant impact player, and more importantly a shot blocker that we need. Diallo has a 7ft4 wingspan, even at a 6ft8 height. Maker while being 7 ft tall, only has a 7ft2 wingspan.

I'd love to have him, but I don't know why any wing would come to Kansas right now. You have Selden who you know will get the minutes, you have Greene and his known 3pt ability. You have Svi who is in the Top 15 in 2016 NBA Mock Drafts. We have an immediate need for a C, other than that, I don't see why any big recruit would come to KU right now.

What I know is set in stone:
Frank Mason is starting, whether it be PG or SG
Wayne Selden is starting and playing 29 min a game.
Perry Ellis is starting at PF.

Seriously at this point, the state of Self's ability to advance past the first weekend with these current players is suspect at best.

I want no part of Maker. He's got serious eligibility questions. I'm afraid it will be just like the Cliff situation this year. Nope. I'd rather have someone be able to play the whole season barring injury.

Any 1 seed or 2 seed has a good chance to reach the final four. Its mainly a fallacy that any coach has some distinct advantage in a tournament versus the regular season. Once you earn your seed, what happens after that is mainly happenstance

I agree. I didn't think this years team was final 4 worthy. I'm just not seeing the improvement or talent being brought in to elevate the play of this team.
