But at the same time I agree. This deal hammers Cincy who pretty clearly matches up with us the best. Cincy went from having a shot at the #1 to possibly not even getting a home game. And now they'll likely have to go to Buffalo to get to us even though they could have beat them Monday and gotten the 2 seed.

Yeah. The league went in dry on Cincy, basically for having compassion on the Bills.

Now watch it come down to KC vs Bills and the neutral site.....BUT Buffalo gets a huge snow storm and the NFL has to reschedule the game because the Bills couldn't travel!

FYP

Because of a potential neutral field?

I think there's also very little doubt that Goodell had Clark on his side for this vote. Unfortunate that he'd just willingly accept giving away HFA like this.

I bet Clark abstained

Of course we are going to have to play an AFC Championship in Indy which was a house of horrors for us earlier in the season

Yep. It's not like he's one to rock the boat much regardless. I wouldn't even be surprised if he voted FOR it.

Which is 100% the right call in his position.

Same said for BAL, BUF and CIN.

We need the Chargers to lose so we can potentially play Baltimore or Jax in the divisional.

"Abstain" in this case is same as a "No", just more diplomatic. For the record, I would have preferred a "No" vote, but Clark Hunt is still an awesome owner who I am grateful for so he gets a pass.

Not sure Jax is who we want to play. TL is playing out of his mind the past few weeks.

If Baltimore loses, the Chargers will automatically have the 5 seed.
