Feels weird to say this, but I'd feel a lot better if we went ahead and got Donovan Smith under contract here soon.

We sort of have a gaping hole at LT at the moment.

I'm sure they are in communication with him. I haven't seen a single thing about him taking any visits so I'm sure we'll be able to get him back if we want. Luckily for us, he had a season just good enough to make us want to keep him, but not good enough to get a huge deal.

Yeah, I said this too.

He wasn’t very good in the Super Bowl, but he was fine most the year.

No issues with another reasonable 1-year deal.

We simply aren’t going to be drafting high enough to grab a blue chip LT prospect ever. We’ll probably need to keep signing 1-year vets until we get lucky and hit on a draft pick in the late first or second.

LT is likely what we're taking in any 1st rnd trade up scenario. Shit, LT is likely what we're taking in round 1 trade up or not. They've been kicking this can down the road for too long. They've gotta be itching for a long term solution there.

These two are the biggest turds in the punchbowl for me. ROFL

The Watson trade is just horrific

From everything I'm seeing there's the clear cut LT prospects the Chiefs probably won't sniff around 32, if recent history continues teams aren't willing to trade with the Chiefs in the first round. Seems to be a bigger plethora of RT prospects after the top OT's are off the board.

Yeah, that's why I'm so high on using Sneed as an asset for a trade up if we do decide to move him.

It appears he carries a 3rd round value due to his contract and knee questions, which is frustrating since we all wanted more.

If there's a tackle we absolutely love that slips into the 10-15 range due to a run on QBs & WR's (let's say they make up 7-8 of the top 10), I'd be curious to see if we'd make the jump.

#32 + Sneed + 2025 1st could get us to around #15.

Alt would be gone, so again, we'd have to feel really, really good about the guy we'd pick.

There's no way in hell Veach is giving up two 1sts and Sneed for a pick-jump of 15+ spots and the 3rd OT off the board. And I sure as hell ain't equating Sneed to a 3rd cuz some literal nobody twatted that the Colts were trying to get him for that price.

Sneed comes with a 50 million dollar price tag. That isn't gonna happen.

I honestly believe nobody in the entire organization believed in Daniel Jones whatsoever, they were just too cowardly to move on from him as a former first round pick after he just lead a fluky playoff run. After he threw for 300 yards and beat the Vikings in the first round, they were screwed. Even after he shit the bed in Philly, they had to re-sign him.

They should have let him walk and never even thought twice. The sad part is, literally everyone knew that, and they still gave him the deal. Amazing.

I wouldn't pay any QB, unless they were proven to be top 5 or close. There's a lot of mediocre guys that can kind of play. Just roll with a Minshew or a Brisett until you get a chance to draft better.

Confused here. What’s the difference between #32 and a 2024 1st?

That is exactly what they should be doing. I've said before there is a missing middle class market for QBs. You're either making $35+ million or relegated to accepting 1 year deals and being a journeyman. It makes no sense to me, I feel there should be a mid-tier market for guys like Jones and his ilk at $15 million or so. That way the team still has a chance to fill in the roster around a very average QB.

Otherwise, yeah, just let them walk, sign two vets for dirt cheap and keep drafting. It's utterly pointless to do anything else.

Wasn't it like, 2 games in the next season the GM started regretting his decision? Unbelievable how you allow that to happen, just because he won a playoff game.
