Whelp. Is it selection Sunday yet? Locking Gabe down was pretty impressive. Still excited for the tournament, but really hoping we can bring in a scorer in the transfer market.

It will definitely be an interesting year. #7 recruiting class(#1 in Big12) coming in. Some good pieces slated to return, we’ll see who transfers out/in.

This year was rough because we thought we were getting AJ Green from UNI, who’s dad is an assistant on our staff now. The final day to withdraw from the draft he was in Ames picking out a place to live and the Bucks told him if he goes undrafted they will sign him to a two way deal. He stayed in and Bucks signed him. Then our starting PG got hurt before the season started and missed the entire year.

Definitely need some guards/scoring for next year.

Everyone talks about Omaha obviously as he’s a McDonalds All-American, but they say Milan plays exactly like Niang, just more talented/athletic. It’s wild that two of our three highest rated recruits in school history are in this class. Well since whatever year they started tracking it. Fizer was our last McDonalds All-American, and he doesn’t show up in recruiting rankings.

I know you guys are used to getting these types of guys, but we’ve been pretty good without being able to get them and it’s exciting to see how it plays out with them.
