That is a good point and I would add that when Alex wants to he can accurately hit the deeper routes. I totally hated that trade but I like Smith's accuracy and mobility. That alone was a major improvement over what we had here. I think we have a shot at an 8-8 season.

The Oline is mostly young and needs to gel.
We still don't have the receivers we need but Trent Green didn't either. He did have a wall for an oline and that gave them time to get open.
The defense is very good and could be top 5 by the end of the year. (except for Spiro T. Agnew at corner).

We won 2 games last year with 6 probowlers on the team. There is talent to build on here.
