I don't think upper 90s Holland is coming back. But I like to see him adapting to who he is now. Adding a third pitch to the mix can help him make up for the lost velocity.

I agree. Occasionally, he'll reach back and hit 95, but I think we should still be content with a 92-94 Holland as long as his slider and split is spot on.

I wonder if he would experiment a cut fastball, like Davis has....

Ah yes, Gibson. The guy we can't seem to hit despite how mediocre he is. We did get him once, but it took awhile......

I dont know has Holland been a guy who hit upper 90s early in the year? Or is he one those guys who start bringing it as the weather and humidity spikes up. It has been unseasonably cool most the year. Just asking dont know.

He's normally been sitting 95-96 at this point with his fastball, occasionally touching 98.

He's either still hurt or has lost some velo, period.

Funny how three games ago we were 2-8 in our last ten. Now we are 5-5 in our last ten and the back end starters have looked really good.

Well cross my fingers he doesn't break down in the stretch run.

We've looked better at the plate the last few games, but we still aren't scoring near enough runs. I wonder if Rios injury is going to plague him all season. He was still in some pain when he returned to the line up. Infante is obviously sucking it up.

Our timely hitting was previously ridiculous and unsustainable. Now we are at the other extreme. We will even out and score more runs eventually.

Still worried about Vargas. Petro was saying today he thinks they yanked him after 70 in attempt to preserve him as long as possible and TJ could be needed at any moment.
