If nothing else, it made moving Smith much easier. And if I had to guess, I'd say it made Mahomes work his ****ing ass off in preparation to challenge Smith for the starting job in 2018.

When Mahomes marched out of Incestco with a road win, that was it for Smith( thank God ).

If Alex was on the Texans roster, Deshaun would have been holding a clipboard last season just like Mahomes. Wasn’t a fair comparison in that regard since Mahomes didn’t get a chance to play at the time.
