That's just stupid. The Browns have a ton of picks and a ton of cap room. The "serious rebuild" wouldn't be hampered by trading for the best corner in the league.

What the **** are we gonna do with this defense?

All Sutton needs is talent, is what we were told

Well seems the catalyst is gone now.

That sounds like a pretty nice return, IMO.

Only in fanatical drafturbator land is trading a 25 year old Pro Bowl shutdown CB for a LOWER first round draft pick (that is important to point out... the Rams first round draft pick is 23rd overall) a "nice return".

That is the Cleveland Browns approach... trade away established talent for the siren call of draft picks.

This trade is the gayest thing that has ever happened in the midwest.

Bro have you ever even been to Missie B's?

So is there anything yet about what we got in return? I've seen the 1st, 5th, and a 2nd next year but rememberbthe compensation we got for Smith changed like 3 times.

Buehler445 02-23-2018 01:37 PM

Not a fan but if it is happening now it must be bad in the locker room.

Hope we raped them. Prepared for a second.

That's incorrect. I defended Peters right to protest.

You just hate the Midwest because people mistake you for a chick when you go into the men's rest room.

My point wasn't about him. It was about the stupidity of theorizing that the whole team was just waiting for Mahomes to make everything right.

Goddamn. I don't doubt you but I hope that isn't true.

This myth that the Chiefs have a deep and talented roster is so pervasive on CP, but it just isn't true.

They have Hill, Jones, Fuller, Kelce, maybe Mahomes, maybe Ragland if they work out. Berry if he's healthy. Other than that, mostly a lot of aging vets and JAGs. A bottom-third defense. A head coach and a DC who are mostly clueless at running the game.

This is not a one-offseason reload project. This is not a two offseason project unless you hit on everything.

This team is in rebuilding move, whether we want to acknowledge it or not, and a player like Peters who asked to be traded and won't resign is the first one that you flip for picks in a rebuild.

Well, I mean, if you're going to just make shit up that's categorically wrong I guess there's not much else I can argue about.

The Chiefs absolutely have one of the best, deepest rosters in football with a hole at OLB, ILB, NT, and G. That's it. They could tick up a bit at safety but they're not doing poorly there. And of the positions they're struggling, only OLB is truly difficult to fill (the ILB slot isn't even really a hole since they spend so much time in sub packages). They're either average to well above at every other spot on the field.

What exactly do you think other teams in this league have on their roster? How many teams out there can point to the kind of young talent we have at skill positions and argue they're on par? And no, there's no such thing as a rebuild that takes more than 3 years in this league. A complete bottoms up rebuild can be done in 2-3 seasons and a damn good team can come of it. Moreover, when you have the kind of cost controlled talent the chiefs have at key positions, you don't even need a rebuild; a simple re-load would've taken little effort at all.

Yeah, you're just talking out your ass. This team was absolutely ready to win a championship and with Mahomes getting needed experience, the time is/was now. If you're so fatalist that you can't see how well situated this squad was, I'm not sure why you bother.

Titty Meat 02-23-2018 01:39 PM

Mecca the guy who broke his leg delivering pizzas because he's too fat to balance himself knows more what's going on with Peters than Veach does guys.

The Browns have had enough PR problems with recent picks. Why would they want to take on Peters and his craziness. It is not like they are CB away from a Superbowl run.
