I'll go on record.
I'm not a huge fan of trading the 29, however at 29 there is no guarantee the player would be an impact player. If I heard that the Chiefs drafted a solid edge rusher that fits the scheme and has no injury history, who fell in the draft to 29 due to some off field issues 5 years ago....I'd probably be good with that. I've spent a lot of years concerning myself with the price of contracts and impacts on salary cap....and i've never seen a championship. F it. It's not my 105M. The entire team can't be choir boys....Clark is a known commodity, he's a proven pass rusher and he'll be an upgrade at a position of need. My prediction is, by week 3 fans will be happy with this player being a Chief....until he gets in trouble. Bring me the Big trophy and I don't care.... |

Huge fan of this trade. We were not getting an impact player at 29, and to trade up to get an UNPROVEN COMMODITY would've cost at LEAST the 2nd next year.
WELCOME TO KC FRANK CLARK!!!!!!!!! |
We could still give up a second and move up to select an impact player.
This defense will be very improved from last season. |

And then Veach goes on to say that it isn't a great S class. Those dudes we like are going to slip... And if an Adderly slips to us in the 2nd and Veach takes him, everyone will LOVE this offseason. |

Has Dee Ford ever held the edge like this in run support? This is a big part of the upgrade.

That’s Tyron Smith. |
