I simply stated that they could have stamped it out if they knew that his injury is minor and it is not torn. They did not do that. Does that suggest at least a partial tear? They know the answer by now.

If they are being coy as Mecca suggested and his injury is not minor, the possibilities are all bad. If he did need UCL reconstruction, that is (could be as much as) an 18 month injury.

That's what was meant with "a real possibility"

Ian Rapoport has said multiple times in the last few days that it's a minor injury and he can play through it. I assume he's getting his information from Buffalo team sources.

Allen is "day to day".

Apparently Poyer is also "day to day". As is Tre White. Me thinks day to day isn't such good thing...

They might just be playing coy. The possibility exists that they are not.

A minor injury to his throwing arm that's keeping him out of practice today. Sus.

Mecca 11-09-2022 02:39 PM

Buffalo is also a team that doesn't like to disclose injuries, keep that in mind.

Holy shit there's so much wild ass speculation in here it's hilarious.

"Allen has an elbow strain" has some how morphed into "Allen will probably miss the rest of the season" because the Bills didn't say that he specifically wouldn't.

If Case Keenum sucks this weekend he'll feel a lot better next week. Rest and therapy won't hurt him a bit. The pain is a signal that something is not right, can he ignore it?

I think the disconnect is that this forum is making this into a bigger deal than they are around Buffalo. The bills have no reason to stamp out any smoke, because in the Buffalo area, we don’t feel that there is any smoke.

I think he misses 1-3 weeks. "Day to day" sounds like, "Lets wait and see what happens with the inflammation"

So in your opinion, he misses no time?

They would be smart to play the long game and rest him if there's ANY doubt or concern about long term damage. No one is going to look back on the season and say the Vikings game was the turning point if Allen is healthy in the playoffs.

my guess is that the bills keep him out against the Vikings. Not because it’s a major injury, but because that’s what they do with players that have any injury. The bills are super cautious about injuries. It’s actually extremely annoying as a fan. my guess is he misses one game out of caution and then he is back. hopefully these sentences make sense, I am talking into Siri.

The Dolphins medical staff reviewed the hit on Allen and determined it to be a back injury

BleedingRed 11-09-2022 02:51 PM

Homies,

Hes is not throwing right now because of the injury. Bills are going to give him a week off at least. "day to day" means "We dont have a time table"
