15 games left. 5 game lead on a playoff spot. We're gettin close, fellas.
Good times! I have tickets to the last home game of the year against SF. Hope to see them clinch their playoff spot *officially* that day. |

Boston and Seattle are both 6 games back, Boston owns the tie-breaker on us. We split the season series with Seattle, next tie-breaker is intra-division records, and thanks in large part to our 12-1 vs. the White Sox that gives us the edge. So we have effectively a 7-game lead on the Mariners. |

If we can leave this weekend 2 games (or better) back from the Guardians, the Central gets really interesting.
3 games or more is probably too much to overcome without some luck. |

Been waiting for the Stratton arm injury. He just doesn't have it but we have him for one more year. The way relievers are so volatile, you might as well shut him down and try to fix him in the offseason. If he comes out next year pitching like that then you cut your losses.

If we’re only 2 games back, this is far from over. 3 or 4 games back would probably be too much. If (big if) we leave the weekend 1 game back, then I’d almost call us the favorite. |

They said on today's broadcast that he's had it ( forearm flexor strain) since June or July. :shake:

Here is the umpire scorecard from yesterday. Not a good job and today not looking any different.

I was going to say, today's ump would give yesterday's ump a run for his money of being terrible.
|
Today's ump is what made me remember to check. Umpire crew must have early dinner reservations tonight because this guy is calling anything a strike within 2-3 inches to the box.
|
And then some that are clearly in the zone he calls a ball, similar to last night.

MLB really is a ****ing dumb league full of cheapskates |

Detroit series starts tonight. This is the BIG one, Detroit coming in hot. They've got Skubal scheduled for Tuesday, although we've hit him better than anyone this year.
Take 2 out of 3 and we're all but guaranteed a playoff spot at that point. 1 out of 3 and we're still fine. Just can't get swept. Any other result and we're good. Better yet? How bout we sweep THEM!?! Time for PAIN Motor City Kitties!! |

Who has GDT duty today? (I jinxed us yesterday...somebody else needs to restore our winning mojo!)

|
Making the 2 and half hour drive tonight and have a hotel for the final weekend vs the Giants. Hope they have bounced back from last night better than I have.
|
Bum.

Have we given up on this team? No GDT?

Is the weather for this weekend looking as bad as AccuWeather is making it out to be? Debating if I should cancel my hotel and stuff.

You’re good. No rain |
Just a brutal series against the Tigers. Very disappointing.
|
Definitely ate up the big cushion we had. Cant coast now. Gotta get out and get a few W’s.
|
Tigers have the white Sox to wrap things up.
We need to win 3 or 4 games |

Twins lose. Royals are gonna end up getting in with like 85 wins.
|
Who would’ve thought that the AL Central would’ve had 3 playoff teams at the beginning of the season?

It was so upsetting to someone bringing up the nature of that game in response to a flag that they had to change my name. LMAO

I still remember revere beating up that trash can. Imagine if he’d used half of that effort hitting one of those pitches…..

He probably strikes out. Just as plausible as your view. It was 9 years ago. Let it go.

That name change LMAO

If you get to bring up that WS in response to any post about baseball I make that has nothing to do with it, I get to bitch about the umpires' wrongfully blowing a few calls in response. Seems fair enough to me. |
