they really watered down the Gov and I dont know how they are going to do the next guy who is like 10000000x worse than the Gov, watering him down would just ruin it.
I am bummed Hersh died because Scott Wilson is a good actor who carries the show, whereas most of the other characters cant build any depth or likeness because the people playing them can't sell their roles. |
Best walking dead ever.

Watched from Season 1 over the summer because I am always late to the party. Great show tonight. Loved it.

Just finished watching on the DVR. Good lord, adrenaline still flowing here. Not surprised at how things went down, but they didn't pull any damn punches.

Scott Wilson and Lauren Cohan were really emotional during Talking Dead, damn.

"Sword through the heart, and you're to blame, you give Gov a bad name!"

Wow. Now that's how you end the Governor's story arc with what was perhaps the best episode in the show's history. In the end, it was well worth it to take the time to reboot his character in the fashion they did. It made this episode's conflict and the emotional gut punches it wrought all the more painful.
Tough to see Herschel go, but I wasn't all that surprised to see it after the central role his character played in the first half of this season. TWD has completely changed for the better since the beginning of S4 (and the new showrunner) in a way that I didn't think was possible after last season. They're also now moving on from the prison, which I've thought they had to do for quite some time to advance the show. Also, it hardly seems important at the moment, but they still haven't addressed who the person was that was feeding the zombies rats and dissecting animals (and for what purpose). It presumably wasn't the Governor or any of his people. That will no doubt be explored further in the 2nd half, but it could be somebody we still haven't met yet too. |
Yeah, lots of things left unanswered that I can't wait to get back to. The deal with the rats, is it the little girls? What about the radio signal from the med run? How will the group find each other, was there a rally point planned?
I love this show. I go back and forth on whether I should read the comics. |
damn guys use the spoiler tags. wtf

And the first post says "Anything from episodes that have already aired is fine."

If you haven't watched the current episode, don't go into a thread where people are talking about a show and bitch about them talking about the show. Now, just to be clear, the following things happened in last night's episode: the governor talked his new group into going to the prison and taking it from Rick's group, the governor captured Herschell and Michonne, Rick tried to talk the governor into living peacefully with everyone in the prison, the governor beheaded Herschell, a gun battle ensued, the governor and Rick got into a fistfight, the governor won and was strangling Rick when Michonne stabbed him from behind, and Lilly (the governor's new girlfriend) finished him off with a bullet to the head. Notice the lack of spoiler tags in my post. That's because none of this information is a spoiler. The episode has already aired. |
