Watson had like 4 yards after the catch all season, didn't he?

Wasn't he some Yards of Separation darling when folks were digging through those numbers? Seems like every ball he catches had a guy in his hip pocket.

But credit to Watson - guy never shied away from contact. He was always willing to take a hit to secure the ball. Didn't mean he always managed to actually secure the ball - but it wasn't for lack of trying.

Sure there is, it's called the Mahomes reason. Check around, lot of losing coaches, especially in the AFCW.

One thing has nothing to do with the other. Harbaugh could lead the Chargers to a solid winning record every year and still lose both games to the Chiefs. My point is that the Chargers will be better under Jim Harbaugh than they’ve been with any previous recent coach. Will it take time? Probably, yes. But if you don’t think that Harbaugh is twice-and-then some the coach that Brandon Staley was you’re nuts. Chiefs are going to have some good battles with them in the years to come.

Umm and you think you’re a Chiefs fan? He’s already signed with us. Signed a 2 year deal last year. Snh

I’m not just talking about what he did at SF or MI. Look at what he accomplished at Stanford or even more so what he did at the University of San Diego before that. The guy is a winner and has won everywhere he’s been. What does that say about him as a coach?

Harbaugh has been out of the league over 10 years. It’s not the same.

Herbert is not the franchise qb. He’s not clutch.

They lost Allen Williams Eckler. Ok needs help. War needs retooling. RB needs retooling. Aging D

Salary cap issues

You out too much faith in him

We'll see how much he has changed. He ran an antiquated offense in college and was able to succeed due to superior recruiting and resources.

He had a potential top 5 pick at QB, with a top 50 WR and several other future NFL players at WR/TE, and still never through the ball.

And yeah, it's a rebuild. They cut to the bone. How do they recover?

The same way any team does - the Draft, over multiple years.

Out of the league too long? You can’t be serious. And I guess all that needed to be said was that we can expect the Chargers to be better under Harbaugh in the coming years. Why is that so difficult to acknowledge? I don’t give two shits about Harbaugh and honestly see him as a cocky prick. But that doesn’t mean he’s not a good football coach. He is. The Chargers will be better under him. 100%. Staley was out of his league.

More importantly, Staley's entire staff was out of their league. The chargers will be better this year despite less talent purely because they will have a real coaching staff.
