These conf tourneys are ghey. Bilas said last night during a game that nobody cares anymore since the field went to 64 and so many at-larges go in "safe". Like Texas Tech, they're already in, already locked between a 8 and 10 seed so why show up?


Also several ACC recent National Champ crapped out early in the ACC tourney (2002 Maryland 05-09 UNC, last year Dook etc)

Good Grief...It's like a little warm up to the big tournament. I mean, are you seriously going to suggest you'd prefer LESS KU basketball? Season's short enough already.

I'd prefer in situations like this - KU has the #1 in the Midwest locked up - that we don't risk injury in a meaningless tournament.

I've never cared about the conf tourney, no. It's really more for the Rustys of the world, fan bases that can't win the league and won't go squat in the Nationals

In all other conferences the conference tournament, just like the NCAA Tournament, is what determines the champion of a league and who gets to advance to play for the national title.

That doesnt mean it doesnt mean anything. Im always floored that fans, ADs, and talking heads arent appalled that a conference tourney champ gets in vs the actual champion. Like the 68 team tournament, its ridiculous. Its just meant to add excitement for the casual fan. The end.

I mean why dont ppl think its incredibly sad that a 13-18 Holy Cross team is going to be in the postseason NCAA championship tournament? Its ridiculous
