That's fine. She might be over the top with the way she treats her pets like people, but it also sounds like you might be over the top in your reaction to it. Compromise sounds reasonable, but forgive me for saying that I think there might be room for a little give on both sides here. And I say that as someone who is a lot more sympathetic to your "just a dog" POV that to her's.

She expects you to get buddy/buddy with a terrier? Yeah. She's got issues.

This makes the most sense to me. Thank you.

Big Smoke has yet to return

It's much easier to deal with an awkward chick/dog relationship than a ****ed up mother/son relationship. At least you know the dog is going to die at some point. The little prince she treats like her boyfriend is going to out live your ass.

Either way, there is a line in the sand where both become creepy.

You must have missed my "Celebrate good times" post from like 3:30am.

We had a great time. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to see her again or not.

Yes. We went out to eat on the plaza, and then went back to her house to watch movies. She is well educated, and has a killer sense of humor. I'm afraid I may actually "like" this girl.

I know 2 two girls who treat their sons as if they are their boyfriends, minus the sex part. Neither of them can keep a boyfriend because of it. It's very awkward and probably unhealthy for both the mother and the son. I straight up told the one I actually liked it wasn't normal and it was probably the reason she hasn't kept a good guy around sense his birth. She blew up like a crazy lady and I didn't hear from her for over a year until I got a random "I now understand the 3rd wheel argument" text one night. If she wasn't an otherwise good girl and still clinging to her gymnast past I would have run like she had aids. LMAO

The other is currently dating a guy 6 years younger than herself. :spock:

Went to my wifes nephew's (I guess that makes him my nephew??) wedding down in Joplin several years ago. The mother/groom dance at the reception was awkward as ****. I hadn't seen chemistry like that since Swayze and Demi in Ghost.
