I'm getting James Hasty vibes from McDuffie.

Ty Chandler is still out there. Thoughts?

I’d love another blazer at RB.

That was damn near to the second. One of my more impressive jinxes.

Damone Clark still out there, right?

Seems like exactly what you’d use a 7th rounder for.

Yep. Gimme him and an EDGE.

Pacheco rb Rutgers

I’d rather coach a RB to slow down than speed up.

They clearly aren’t interested. They’ve had several opportunities and just aren’t treating edge or DT as any sort of priority.

I don’t get it, but they didn’t ask me.

LB Malcolm Rodriguez (OK State) 5'11" 232 lbs
LB Jesse Luketa (Penn State) 6'3" 252 lbs

If they're still available... We have no depth at the position

Then it’s a vet DE after the draft or a trade for one with a 2023 pick.

Vet
Clark
Karlaftis
Danna
Kaindoh

It ain’t great but that all depends on who the vet is.

PriestMaholmes 04-30-2022 01:27 PM

At this point we can just look at PFF top available and have a good idea. Seems like some overlap between how we evaluate and how they do. At least this year

I think you need to go find Nemo or something.

We were probably going to draft another Josh Kaindoh if we had taken a DE in the 3rd and beyond. And in my opinion, those odds just aren't worth it. It'd be one thing if a guy fell who the Chiefs really liked, but they said, "We'd rather have this other player at another position who we believe is going to have a far better chance at being good."

And that's the right approach to a draft. Each and every ****ing time. The Packers were more desperate for WR than we were for DE, and they didn't take one until Watson. Because that's how the draft fell. Again, the right call.

You can't be afraid to take great players whose position doesn't match your exact team needs. The Jets do that kind of shit all the time.
