you are the same type of fan that thinks Tom Brady is clutch.

I challenge all of you to rewatch the Cowboys/Giants game in the playoffs the year the Giants won the Super Bowl...and then tell me Tony Romo is a choker...

He played a hell of a game and was the only reason they had a chance to win...the Cowboys let HIM down...

Romo played a thousand times better against those same Giants as the 18-0 Tom Brady did in the Super Bowl...and it wasn't even close.

Patrick Crayton lost that game for the Cowboys...the defense let Eli score a TD at the end of the 1st half with 35 seconds to make it 14-7 rather than 14-0...

but Tony Romo is a choker for playing a hell of a game against that pass rush...against the team that beat the 18-0 super Pats...

LMAO

Meh. I have been called worse. And yes Tom Brady is hell of alot better QB than Romo ever will be.

Anyway we have had this discussion before Hootie so until Romo proves it in the playoffs like Peyton did he will be considered a choker. He is playing pretty good right now so he might prove me wrong this year. I guess we will see.

I was in the thread first, ****stick. I'm not following anyone. I'm simply agreeing with his post.

You wouldn't know anything about that, considering people rarely, if ever agree with you.

well maybe they should start...

I have a pretty good track record on this site...

Unless you want to cherrypick posts from a game where I was with the 100% majority on this site...

because people really thought Thigpen deserved a roster spot after the Atlanta game last year ROFL

Lets see...I'm up by about 25K in gambling challenge...I was a co-winner in the midseason playoff contest where I picked against Denver to make the playoffs AND picked the entire NFC correct 1-6...

I told mecca Chris Johnson was the best back in the NFL...LAST YEAR...

I am on record saying Tony Romo is a future hall of famer and will win a Super Bowl...

have said Peyton Manning is the greatest QB of all time for years and years and years...

and am on record talking about how vastly overrated Carson Palmer is...for the last three years...

but I'm just an idiot that knows nothing about anything etc. etc. etc.

Again, keep making shit up, because you can't deal with reality.

"Tony Romo is the one of the worst starting QBs in the NFL. If Dallas had a competent QB last week, they would have put up another 10-14 points. Dude is flat out taint."

My bad...you said he was ONE of the worst...

Sorry dude.

I assumed "flat out taint" meant you thought he was pretty much camp fodder.

So, basically, you're good at handicapping games.

Otherwise, nothing there is either solid - Palmer being overrated and Romo being a HOF are opinion and unfounded - or so ridiculously basic anyone with any football knowledge at all would agree.

Peyton Manning one of the greatest QB's ever?

Way to really go out on that limb, dude.

Someone with your grasp of logic shouldn't assume anything.

Hootie 01-04-2010 02:28 PM

I didn't go out on a limb...

I've been arguing he was better than Brady since 2003...since right after the no punt game against the Chiefs...

I knew then that no one had ever played the QB position as good as Peyton Manning.

so by one of the worst...he probably just meant one of the worst of the top 5 QB's in the NFL?

Oh ok I got it.

Hootie 01-04-2010 02:30 PM

P.S. I'm going to bring this up ONE time...but I was 100% right for two straight years regarding Huard/Green and Huard/Croyle...but I don't feel like rehashing that shit anymore...a new era in KC! The Jamaal Charles/Todd Haley era featuring Matt Cassel.

Dude, it's not groundbreaking. You're acting like you knowing Manning is one of the best of all time is some ****ing revelation that only you were privy to.

Gimme a break.

Oh, FFS.

Please tell me you think Romo is a Top 5 QB.

PLEASE.

And FWIW, personally, I would take "one of the worst" as anyone from 16-32.

So if he can come up with 15 QB's he'd rather have than Romo, so be it.

Bottom line:

You're the only one invested in this, because everything was based on opinion, until you decided to say he would make the HOF and win a SB.

So, when that doesn't happen, are you going to claim it was just a joke, or that it was just TIC?

Well if you don't want to acknowledge that Brady was considered by 90% of anyone with an opinion to be better than Manning just two years ago then I guess that's your prerogative...

Just know where I always stood (on the right side of the fence)...I doubt you were there...I'm sure you jumped that fence sometime this year like everyone else...

He has weapons all over the place, but he's basically Neil Lomax.

Dude that's not fair on Neil Lomax..

Roy Green? Pat Tilley? JT Smith?

Terrell Owens... Terry Glenn... Jason Witten... Ro Williams... Miles Austin...

With CRAP Lomax still put up a 4600 yard season in 1984.

Romo has yet to do that with a freaking all star lineup around him.

Hootie 01-04-2010 02:35 PM

If I had to rank my QB's in terms of the best QB's in the NFL...it would go like this:

P. Manning
GAP
GAP
GAP
GAP
GAP
Brady
Brees
GAP
Roethlisberger/Romo/Rodgers/Rivers/McNabb/Warner (in no particular order)

Hootie 01-04-2010 02:36 PM

I'm sorry...

Someone please tell me how Roy Williams/Miles Austin and Jason Witten looked before the season started?

We're not going to give Romo ANY credit for the emergence of Miles Austin?

Haha.
