Essentially he is offered back to his former club. If they pass, he goes through waivers (where everyone else has to pass). If nobody claims him, then and only then can he go back to the minors.

In other words, Komatsu's gone.

Should've cut Greene or optioned Robinson instead, IMO. I don't care if Greene's out of options, he's a dogshit ballplayer.

I don't really understand what Greene brings to the club. Hell, I'd rather they rush Wong along.

Backup SS for Furcal, I guess, in the event of a long-term Furcal injury.

Ultimately if Furcal is injured I'd rather see Descalso slide over to SS and Skip at 2b. Yeah - Greene's that bad.

He's Theriot levels of awful.

I think all of us on this thread agree on Greene. I dont blame the front office. He absolutely rakes in AAA. He does have all the raw talent. But for whatever reason he is just not able to replicate that in the big show. We need to cut bait.

This team can surely hit.

I think he would better suited in a small market that draws >20000/game. He doesn't seem to respond to pressure. Reminds me of Khalil Green.

Berkmann comes back healthy, with the addition of a healthy Craig, this lineup could have 7 guys that could hit over 300.

Yea, you have to ask yourself why Frese is hitting behind Beltran at this point.

The Pirates pitching has been very very good this year and we have put a 6 spot on them in 5 innings.

IMO, the best lineup would be with Beltran in the 2 hole in front of Holliday.

If they can get the pitching staff healthy, this team is gonna have a good chance to make some noise. By that I mean Carpenter.


I would love for them to bring Miller up to be the 5th man this year, but I'm just being greedy.
