Maybe not to you, maybe not to the league, but to other black players in a predominantly black league it looks horrible. So white chocolate can throw his towel at an official, dance like a fool, and have a potato sack race and that’s all good. But the brotha with all-pro talent dares to express his frustration and gets suspended by the team. Not the league, the team. The NFL has to suspend Gronk for his WWE move. You think Belechik would have intervened when the NFL didn’t????:shake:

Well there is only 1 explanation for this level of dumbassery.

Don't worry Marcus, I am sure Oakland will be happy to pay you when your contract in KC is up, enjoy CP.

.

Do you think that Peters thought he was ejected?

He walked off the field and stopped to give his gloves or something to a fan while being escorted by a member of the Chiefs staff. I think there was general confusion about him being ejected or not. Why wasn't there any assistant or staff member trying to talk to him about NOT being ejected? Why did he run back onto the field without socks?

I was listening the game (Jets radio) and the announcers were surprised when Peters came back out. They thought he had been ejected.

Nope. It’s typical you can’t tell me how to think attitude. I see it for what it is. Player A doesn’t get suspended by the team while player B does for the same thing. Actually less because Player A was thrown out of the game while player B wasn’t. So the league saw what player A did was worse obviously because he was ejected. Player B wasn’t ejected as has been famously pointed out, but gets suspended by the team. Seems simple as that to me.

All the while ignoring that player b literally quit on the team and walked off the field. Not to mention the fact that while player b is a fabulous cover corner (when he's not giving 10 yard cushions on 3rd and 4) he has no desire to do anything about it when the ball is caught.

That’s the point MP thought he was ejected which is why he left. Nelson had to chase him into the tunnel to tell MP otherwise. Then MP came back out so quick he didn’t even bother to throw on his socks. Sounds like a competitor to me. But some of you want him traded because of it um um um:shake:

Trade Peters to Buffalo for our 1st round pick back, tank this season and put in Mahomes, trade Alex for a 2nd or 3rd next year, get a couple corners in draft and a receiver for Mahomes, get Berry back, get some free agents, good to go next year.

I agree with this. Kelce is a team guy. The way he defended Fisher after that holding call in the playoffs against Pitt and the way he recently defended Smitty shows that.

He's immature but he is a great teammate to have. Peters - not so much.

Kelce defending Fishers penalty is a sign of a good teammate. Peters defending Nelsons penalty is a sign of a bad teammate?

People are saying he quit on the team but it seemed to me like confusion over being ejected and that's all.

The initial response from the TV announcers was that he was ejected, but they quickly changed that.

I was watching the game and they said that was a Chiefs staff member chasing him telling him he wasn't ejected.

I personally think this was just the cherry on top, or the straw that broke the camel's back.

He just kept escalating his issues all season. That can work when you are winning, but Andy had enough issues to deal with IMO.

He had to do something drastic and he picked the guy that is always making the biggest scene, or is the most visual.

I am confident there was a lot of crap we don't know about

I don't think he quit on the team this week.

I think he quit on the team 6 weeks ago. He jakes sooooo many plays, man. He's just not been mentally engaged for so long. Every game now there are 2 or 3 complete space-cadet plays where you're not sure where his mind is, but you know it's not on the game.

And the 'business decisions' are getting more and more common.

There are enough things about Peters the person that trickle out here and there that I won't call him 'a thug' because I don't think he is. I think he's fiercely loyal to friends and would walk through fire for his family. I really do think he has a soft spot for children. I think there are a lot of good things about Marcus Peters the person.

But right now Marcus Peters the player seems completely disengaged for big chunks of the game and the only time he comes alive is when he's losing his cool over something.

Dude's gotta get his head on right. I still think seeing a shrink would be good for him.

Exactly. Not sure what all the other discussion is about. The dude needed a time out. And colleques should are on notice.

Tough parenting.

Yeah, the "aw shucks" give him a hug stuff wasn't working.

What would be next? Go in the bleachers like happened in the NBA a while back?

I hope like hell it works and he comes back determined instead of pouting.
