It wasn't about $$$ unless you overvalue guys like...MVS.

I was willing to be open-minded about the 21 million cap space cleared but we just spent half on MVS, not a difference maker.

We just paid $11 million for Juju and MVS....not $20 million. And it wasn't an extra $4 million this year for Clark.

At least get your numbers right.

Show me anyone right now getting signed for $1-2 million a season. Nobody is signing vet minimum deals.

Those guys get signed late. Of course they want more.

Hughes could be had for 2-3 million later, if not him maybe a Kerrigan.

You have to wait on that round of FA. Right now is when middle class gets overpaid, like Kirk and MVS.

The JuJu contract is supposed to start at 3 and escalate to 10, my understanding is it is likely he hits close to 10.

MVS is 9 or so this year.

Clark is spread over 2 years but adds up to about 3-4 a year.

Juju has incentives for games, yards, TD's, playoffs, etc. Chances are, the team ones will be much easier for him to meet than the individual incentives. It won't be $10M when it's all said and done.

7 of the Juju contract will count against next year's cap, dude.

The incentives won't hit the cap until next year, bud.

It's impossible to take someone seriously when they can't get the basic facts right.

Hence why I'm done arguing with him.

Dont forget a first year in his system qb as well

The people counting the chiefs out because they traded a receiver are going to choke on some crow in about 7 months when the chiefs have 6-7 wins going into midseason lol.

This move lets the Chiefs get stronger on defense in the short and long term, and reload the other skill positions on offense.

They took all their eggs out of one basket and distributed them.

It hurts to lose Tyreek but it's a calculated risk that you can see why they made it.

This also staggers the separation from Tyreek and Kelce which was likely going to happen at some point anyway.

This offense was going to go through some real growing pains if they had to get rid of both guys in the same year. Now they can ease that transition somewhat.

I think that is a fair point. I do think this defense though is going to be bad so offense is going to have to score alot.

Those are exactly my thoughts. And with losing Reek, I'm not sure the offense will be up to the task. Course we still have time to add...

How would you feel if we signed Ingram and Gilmore? Packaged 29 and 50 to trade up into the 15-20 range (Eagles have 3 picks there) and got a legit edge? Used 30 to draft a WR? Used 62 on a corner?

Would you then be able to sleep more peacefully at night?

I also wouldn't be shocked to see that guy get 9 TDs. That is what Tyreek has averaged over the past 6 seasons. It's just going to be different, because that person is not Tyreek Hill.

What I'm more worried about is replacing a guy that was as passionate and driven as Mahomes is. Dude was our spark pug every season we was here. That's what will be difficult to replace.

I dunno man Tyreek could get pretty pissy at times. I mean even in the Super Bowl he was pouting on the bench before Mahomes came over and gave him a pep talk to pull his head out of his ass.

Yep and even then, only if he hits all of his incentives. I doubt he will. He'll hit some of them but not all of them.
