The officiating the second half was the worst I’ve seen and that’s saying something since the time we joined the SEC we’ve been an unwanted cousin when it comes to calls. That shot to nail it was an absolute ball don’t lie moment.

He is a cancer. I heard earlier this year that he kept missing practices and missing games, that was confirmed when he did it again for the Mississippi State game last week.

Build the Dennis Gates statue.

They play hard for him.

That was a lucky as shit prayer at the end, but it doesn't happen if the team doesn't keep battling after blowing that lead and going down by 7 (?). A lot of teams would have packed it in and got blown out at that point.

And FU to the refs for turning it into a whistle-fest for UT in the second half.

Didn’t give Kobe his And 1 either. They were trying to hand that game to UT.

Wow! I had a busy day and missed the game. I fully expected to see a loss today. Gates was such a great hire. This year one turn around has me excited for what he can do in the coming years. It's been a long time since I've had this much optimism for Mizzou basketball. I guess that I was excited about Martin when he landed Porter, but we knew from the beginning that he would be gone after one season. Then he got hurt and things just never got on track to make me optimistic like this.

Those are games you don’t see Mizzou win often. Up big, in the road, give up the lead, fight back and win. Don’t care if it’s a relatively low percentage shot. Good teams find a way.

I still think this is a Sweet 16 team.

I get your point at being lucky, and you’re right to a degree I think. There was some luck involved but it wasn’t like a 3/4 court baseball throw 3 pointer at the buzzer. It was like a 28-footer. Definitely not impossible, and he’s done it twice this year.

Hell of a win! Kobe Brown is turning into one of Mizzou's best players in its history. He's just so ****ing good. Guessing Mosley's having some mental health issues again. Hope he can get that back on track.

I can't remember a time we had so many top 25 quality wins. I'm used to losing those, especially top 10 teams on the road.

BryanBusby 02-12-2023 12:45 PM

Would rather be lucky than typical Mizzou shit.

TomBarndtsTwin 02-12-2023 12:45 PM

What a finish! Even if that prayer from nearly half court hadn’t gone in, this would have been a big momentum boost for Mizzou. The kind of game that can propel a strong finish to the regular season and get the guys believing ‘hey, we can play with anyone come Tourney time’. Obviously it doesn’t guarantee anything as the Tourney is largely a crap shoot, but you can certainly see a path to the Sweet 16 for this team if they’re on. Get there and who knows what can happen.

This was a gutsy performance by this Mizzou team on the road, outcome be damned.

Mizzou has had enough bad luck, that we deserve some luck sometime.

Were they aware they had a game today?
