lakers down 3-1. wheres BD?

Well, it's not over until it's actually over... but I think we've all learned yet another lesson in that loading up in the free agent market isn't always a guaranteed ticket to the ultimate success in sports.

right you are. Defense wins championships (which scares me)

the lakers fans are being really really quiet......

41-22 foul shot edge. The Lakers did not attack the basket and will pay the price in the end. Its not over but darn close. No team wins giving up twice as many foul shots. Thats like getting called for 10 holding calls and 6 false starts in a football game. You will usually lose.

And another thing, Gary Payton doesn't deserve a ring. He can't play defense anymore.

You are right on both counts. However, that being said there is no way this series is being called evenly but thems the breaks.

I think they finally realize that Detroit is the better team. I thought the 1st game may have been a fluke. The 2nd game was a must-win for the Lakers and a predicted blowout. The Lakers were lucky to steal a win at home. That's when I knew the Pistons were better. Defense wins championships. I still can't believe they held the Lakers to 68 points in game 3. The Lakers managed to score 75 points in game 1!

YES!!! The Lakers are going down hard!!!! I cant believe it!!! This is just wonderful!!! Go Pistons Go!!!

ROYC75 06-14-2004 09:25 AM

Can you say Hollywood Fakers ? LA has chocked ! Anytime LA brings the ball down and it doesn't touch Shaq's hands at least once, they are defeating their purpose of being out there. Period !

Shaq is unstoppable, true you can't depend solely on him, but alot can happen because of him. Malone injury, Payton's crappy play, no LA defense, it all adds up to a what could have been !

Yep, it's shakeytown for sure on the west coast. :)

Garcia Bronco 06-14-2004 09:52 AM

LA hasn't choked...they're getting beat by a team that plays defense unlike the western conference where it's almost non-existent.
