Another "Shildty" decision. Great instincts...

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2019 08:50 PM

It's about time they struck that shitbird out.

Jewish Rabbi 10-11-2019 08:55 PM

Pitching is giving them every chance to win this game.

kcpasco 10-11-2019 08:56 PM

Halladay was a great pitcher. No hit by Sanchez is an embarrassment.

kcpasco 10-11-2019 08:57 PM

Nats are just begging to use their bullpen. But the Cards hitters say no way.

BigRedChief 10-11-2019 08:57 PM

Jewish Rabbi 10-11-2019 08:57 PM

Yup. That’s gonna be a no hitter boys.

Marcellus 10-11-2019 08:58 PM

DeJong is so ****ing head ****ed. Seriously swinging at the first pitch there?

BigRedChief 10-11-2019 08:58 PM

And Dejong gets jammed again swinging in the first pitch. WTF?

kcpasco 10-11-2019 08:59 PM

Lay down a ****ing bunt. I don’t care if it’s Bush league. Maybe it would light a fire for this series.

Jewish Rabbi 10-11-2019 08:59 PM

I don’t even give a shit about winning this game. Just get a ****ing hit.

Marcellus 10-11-2019 09:01 PM

Looking at that pitch count by innings, I mean **** they haven't came close to making him pitch.

so much for all that fire and brimstone that no one comes in here and ****s with us. They just repeat the same mistakes all game, every AB, all up and down the lineup. That’s laying down, not fighting to win.

How was it terribly managed? Want Shildt to take at bats against an average pitcher?

One decision to not walk a guy doesn't equal "terribly managed". The reality is the offense sucks balls. Thats a talent issue.

Played too. These guys have executed like shit. All that first pitch hacking either got them out right away or put them behind, and they keep trying to elevate the ball in weather where the ball won't travel

Taking out Gallegos when he kills LHH to bring in Miller then immediately bringing in Brebbia afterwards when he had been up 3x is terrible managing.

Terribly managed and yet only given up 2 runs.

Dude had hit a few guys and walked a few and had 83 pitches through 7 or some shit. Ridiculous.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2019 09:13 PM

For ****'s sake, these guys just refuse to call check swing strikes against these hitters.

Ultimately won’t matter since they won’t score anyway, but we’ve gotten rat****ed on those at least twice.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2019 09:17 PM

Christ, Schildt. Webb has pitched well and just gave up a grounder. Keep using all these guys and they're going to be fried if this series even makes it five games.

kcpasco 10-11-2019 09:17 PM

Carlos is good for 1 out I guess. Shouldn’t be a closer though.

1 out might be his attention span.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-11-2019 09:24 PM

Basically what its been all year, no surprise. Will be interesting to see how it goes tomorrow.

Its all about pitching and making runs count.

NL has a lot of teams who choke in the playoffs. Cardinals not so much.

The Kershaw thing is just crazy & the Braves have lost 10 straight series in the playoffs? Wow. The Cubs are chokers & so are the Brewers.

Matrix 10-11-2019 09:41 PM

,,,but will get swept and Mo and his group of dunces won't improve the roster in the offseason (again)

yeah our offense has disappeared at times all year. But the AB’s were just pathetic tonight. They didn’t adapt at all.

Footbal coaches and players make adjustments at halftime. Can or do other baseball teams make adjustments to their pre-game plans to attack a pitcher?

Not counting this season you've been to 16 playoffs in 36 years and lost 13 of them, that seems like a fair amount of choking to me.

3 championships in 16 attempts isn’t that bad. What is so funny? We would all give our left nut for the Chiefs to have that success.

We have been to 4 WS and won 2 of them the last 15 season pervious to this one. Thats not even close to choking.

Enjoy another 100 year of futility.

I still think we have a good shot in this series. This team just has a weird game against average pitchers sometimes.

You've got to win 4 of 6 games against Sherzer, Corbin and Strausburg. And the Nationals have been one of the most resilient teams in the history of the sport.

In that same 36 years The Royals have had 4 shots and won 2. Oh and before we start the argument of "at least we made the playoffs" good on you,I guess, but the last time I checked Championships are the ultimate measure.

Good job. You got the same win % as the Yankees throughout their history. Thumbs up, take that their forum and report back.

kcpasco 10-12-2019 07:21 AM

Royals 2 championships. Yankees 27. Same win percentage though.

We faced the Nationals in the last week of the regular season. They were fighting for a wild card spot. We were fighting for the Division. We faced Sherzer, Corbin and Strausburg. We won 2/3.

For whatever reasons this team cant hit soft tossing pitchers. But, can handle the pitchers with great stuff. We beat the Philly team that supposedly had the 3 best pitchers of all time to start an NLDS. No explaining why this is, but its continues for a long time.

The Cardinals have a history of overperforming in the playoffs too. aka...Last time we played Washington, They were supposed to be this unbeatable powerhouse. Pete Kozma took them down. We didnt even deserve to make the playoffs in 2006 and 20011. Yet we won the World Series both years. I'd not write us off yet.

I've honestly got nothing against the Royals. I don't douche it up in Royals threads and I've probably been to 75 games at the K in my life. But if they want to give us shit dont be surprised when they get it back.
