It will still be good later. But I do agree the dome game should be later.

The crowd is gonna be so loud, Brady is gonna pull an Elway and beg the ref to quiet them down.

yeah I don't understand the NFL thinking on this unless they think our game is the better one. Once the sun goes down it is going to get quite a bit colder, right now it is pretty good.

Mahomes is a much bigger star than Goff. Brady is a bigger star than Brees. So yeah I can see why they would view the AFC game as a better potential draw for casual viewers.

I presume they'll want to put the more anticipated game closer to East Coast prime time, because Goodell doesn't realize that there are parts of the USA outside the East Coast. And the Chiefs-Patriots game is going to be far more popular than the Saints-Rams game.

Last week I was nervous because Chiefs and because playoffs and because Colts.
With the two biggest monkeys off our back I have felt nothing but confidence this week and expected to have that mental strut up to and through out the game today. But right now I have a bad case of pre-game jitters. Just had a shot of 101 with the bartender and it hasn’t quelled the uneasiness any. If anything it is getting worse, the butterflies are transforming one by one into dive bombers. At this rate my nerves will be completely shot by kickoff. This game can’t get underway soon enough.

Chiefsplanet Team Introduction:

First out of the tunnel is Deon Yelder, TE! The Chiefs are 3-0 in games where Yelder has been on the field.

big nasty kcnut 01-20-2019 02:45 PM

Don't forget agent Carter aka hayley atwell is a chiefs fan.

Rain Man 01-20-2019 02:47 PM

Second player out is offensive lineman Jimmy Murray! He earned his way onto the team as an undrafted prospect, and has appeared in two games his rookie season.

Rain Man 01-20-2019 02:50 PM

Here comes the third player, running back Darrell Williams! Another undrafted free agent who made the team this year, Darrell has appeared in 7 games this year, getting nine touches for 71 yards and impressing us with his toughness.

ptlyon 01-20-2019 02:52 PM

Are you at the game RM?

Pointer19 01-20-2019 02:53 PM

Fox announcers are talking about how loud the Saints fans are being before the Rams get to the line. We need to be just as loud while NE is in the huddle again.

Rain Man 01-20-2019 02:55 PM

Fourth out of the tunnel is the Red Dread, our newest breakout star Charvarius Ward. Acquired via trade this year, Charvarius has appeared in 13 games, and seized the starting role two games before the end of the season. He's recorded 30 tackles with 2 passes defensed this year.

I like Ward. I don’t care for the hair.

Rain Man 01-20-2019 02:58 PM

The fifth player is preseason phenom Ben Niemann. Ben joined the team as an undrafted free agent, and has played in 14 games this season, making 1 start. He has recorded 10 tackles this year.

Sixth out of the tunnel is guard Kahlil McKenzie! A sixth round pick this year, the Chiefs traded up to select him. He's a developmental prospect who will certainly come through if we need him.

Here comes our 7th player, Tremon Smith! A sixth-round pick, Tremon has been one of the league's best kickoff returners this year, averaging 26.8 yards per return. He's also appeared at cornerback, making five tackles, forcing two fumbles, recovering one, and defensing one pass. He's a playmaker.

Eighth out of the tunnel is the world's fastest inside linebacker, Dorian O'Daniel!

Appearing in all 16 games this year with 1 start, Dorian targets short passes from sideline to sideline, recording 34 tackles and defensing 1 pass. We may or may not see Dorian in action today, but he helped us get here.

Rain Man 01-20-2019 03:15 PM

The ground shakes as our 9th player comes out of the tunnel. You know him, you love his run stuffing. Derrick "Illuma" Nnadi is a powerful force in the middle, joining the Chiefs as a third-round pick this year. Derrick has recorded 35 tackles from the nose this year, appearing in every game.

Rain Man 01-20-2019 03:18 PM

10th out of the tunnel is our megabacker, Breeland Speaks! He's appeared in every game, making four starts, and has made several big plays. 24 tackles, 1.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and 2 friendly fumble recoveries. He'll be around the ball today.

11th out of the tunnel is the guy who's a workout guy for Patrick and Tyreek, and a pretty good player in his own right. Gehrig Dieter is in his second year with the team, making 1 reception in four games this season, plus a nice playoff reception.

You'll see our 12th man mostly on punts. He's made one reception in 16 games, but you'll often see him intimidating other players as a punt gunner. Let's hear it for second-year Chief Marcus Kemp!

You want your right guard to be intimidating, and Andrew Wylie is downright scary. He's a personal protector of Patrick Mahomes, and he does it well. Active in all 16 games, he made 10 starts this year in place of the injured doctor, and has been a splendid addition.

15th out of the tunnel is a third-year player who was trained in the Chiefs' lineman factory in Cleveland. When Morse and Devey went down, we called upon Austin Reiter at center and he came through strong. Playing in 11 games with 4 starts, he's been a vital backup who performed great when needed.
