So we should expect him to be choke hold and no flags gotcha Can't wait to wear white and he has Carrs blood all over him |

And still some solid developmental WR options. Dare I dream that Nakobe Dean keeps sliding? |

Two things:
1. Not excited about these draft picks. 2. I don’t know shit. |

Should still be a damn nice options for us at 50. |

I give the first round an A-. They addressed the top 2 needs, sorry WR lovers. KC needed a DE and CB more, and still needs another DE. They got two very good prospects.
Would have preferred Johnson in the move up and Booth later keeping the draft picks. Still haven't heard why Johnson fell. |

That Hollywood Brown trade was agreed to well in advance - he's already in Arizona.

Ojabo at 50 makes a ton of sense now that we don't desperately need an edge this year.
|
Chiefs covered two definite team needs tonight. If we can land David Ojabo at 50 (possible trade up), than hopefully Christian Watson, the draft would be an A+++ through the 2nd round. At 6' 4" and a 4.36/ 40, I like Watson over Pickens.

I don't understand this Pickens obsession... 6 WRs went off the board ahead of him tonight and more WR-poor teams passed on him, some twice. He will probably be the 8-9-10th receiver drafted. Maybe the entire league knows something?

Have you seen the Chiefs defense play before? we needed this infusion of talent and energy. Karlaftas is a ****ing stud. |

Is that right? The BigXII was completely shut out of the first round?
I mean unless you want to count that shitty trade the Cards made. LMAO |

Metchie or Tolbert tomorrow. Or trade for Shenault on Day 3.

Jalen Tolbert (WR South Alabama) would look good in red & gold. Draft Projection: Rounds 2-3
Next Gen Stats 81 Overview Silky smooth athlete who has morphed into a monster over the last two seasons. Tolbert is a high-character prospect with skill elements that are dripping with NFL potential. He gave work to everyone he faced, including SEC cover corners at Tennessee. His three-sport background offers unique perspective to pull from at his position, and his route-running gives him a leg up in camp battles early on. His traits, talent and production should push him up the board, and dialing up the competitive spirit could turn him into a top-flight WR2. Strengths
Weaknesses

Hope Veach knows what he's doing.

I loved the picks, and can’t wait to see the rest of the new additions. A+ so far
The chiefs are finally planning on changing their defense in one draft. Would love to see S WR TE OL RB DT/DE Another CB/S A trade for top WR |

The Chiefs picked right after them, so I get why not much was said, but uhh...
That Patriots pick of Cole Strange was pretty ****ing Alex Leatherwoody. Might even be worse than Alex Leathewood. Am I the only one who's going to roast them for their epic arrogant **** up? This just screams Bill thinking he's the only smart person in the entire league and he's going to do everything he can to prove it. I could see Scott Pioli making a pick like this one. |

“And we spent all that time studying him because we thought he’d be there at 104!!!” For an NFL front office, that’s a pretty deep burn. |
I think McVay has had a few. This is still ****ing hilarious, though

I think Veach overall did well considering how the first round unfolded and with the WR’s quickly flying off the board. He addressed the Chiefs two most pressing needs on defense.
However barring something drastic happening, the Chiefs are entering 2022 with JuJu, MVS and Hardman as their top three WR’s… that’s unsettling. And yes the Chiefs will likely draft a WR or two during the next two days, but the history of rookie middle round WR’s having an immediate impact in Andy Reid’s offense is not good. Tyreek was a gadget player/non-starter during his rookie season. Again I am not blaming Veach for anything, but this is the reality of the Chiefs current situation at WR. |

Now THAT would be a HR first 2 rounds. |

Or a half dozen other DL. And hell, Tolbert and Pickens aren’t out of the question. I just don’t understand how someone can’t come out of this one pleased. |
There is NO mystery why we didn’t go WR in the 1st. After Burks went at #18, that was the last legit 1st round WR. Watson, Moore, Metchie and Pickens are all 2nd round value guys. I’m confident we’ll snag one of them tomorrow. We got really good value with our two picks in the 1st round, and I’m pumped that we we were able to score McDuffie at 21. It’s a good day, boys!

The floor on these picks opens the board up for us a TON.

I hope that 2/3 picks tomorrow go to defense. WR will be fine but if one falls to 62 then it might be worth a look.
Defense should be the main concentration though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Finishing up my bourbon and thinking - besides the Jets and Eagles - did anyone have a better night than KC? Especially considering where we were picking?

Jets seem like the winners of the night on paper, but I think our first round was a B+.

But considering where those teams were picking and having multiple early picks, the Chief did as well as anybody. Most importantly, the Chiefs did better than Buffalo, LA, and the Bengals. |
The Chargers going guard in round 1 was pretty baffling.

I also laughed hard that the Seahawks let Russell Wilson basically run for his life and the minute he's gone..top 10 LT that's an elite pass blocker.

Didn't think of it till now but there's some great irony in the NFL sending out the man of the year award winner to announce a guy that has been accused of DV multiple times as a first round pick.
